Every time I see one of these bike chases, I always remember that one Trooper get on his speaker and "Give it up man, it ain't worth dying on that thang...." Yet we still see people so stupid as to not only put the lives of others in danger but their very own. You could see how the Troopers were trying their best to not send the dummy flying into the pavement or the woods. I remember the couple on a Harley that fled and ended up killing themselves. The stupidity is off the charts for people trying to run from Cops on open 2-wheeled vehicles that don't have any safety features in of themselves except the "brakes" which they'd be better of using instead of the gas when they see "blue lights"....

Well they are supposed to be people that have character they're supposed to have honor and integrity you know a good or decent human being if after the person gave up would not need to resort to violence but we have a society full of people that blindly support this nonsense, so yeah what did he expect to happen these people do not act in with honor or integrity. Just blind rage this is the job taylor fit for a neanderthal lacking empathy and who wants an easy lot in life. I don't know I saw a guy driving a motorcycle not sure who his victim is? It's crazy that our society has been indoctrinated to think they are free and also indoctrinated to know for a fact that traffic law trumps the constitution. Can't even travel down the road without some sociopath pulling you over with the intent to take money out of your pockets. That is not a moral job. If the cop is wrong then you can nail them in court. I would rather the cop tackle the guy than shoot him so please don't complain about force people like you would complain just the same if he shot the biker so please don't entertain me with a response because you have miniscule law knowledge at best. Tackle was 100% justified and I bet he had received zero disciplinary actions for doing so. Edit: also keep in mind he was engaged in criminal speed so eluding while going at that high of a rate of speed is a felony therefore state patrol can chase him all over the state if they see fit due to his reckless driving and endangerment to others. LOL, the only reason the cop chased him in the first place is because he passed in a no passing zone. If he would have just pulled over and taken the L for being stupid he would have went home instead of jail! He did it right in front of a cop so what exactly did he expect to happen? If he didnt know that the cop was behind him then he is not a good rider because as a rider myself I understand that ALWAYS checking your mirrors is absolutely essential.

In the description, the officer said the motorcycle rider was “escorted to the ground.“ That is hilarious! Escorted! The motorcycle had three driving with a suspended license offenses. He should lose his motorcycle, along with any other vehicles he might have, pay a large fine and spend time in jail. That should be his penalty.

Running wide open on a brand new 2 lane with paved shoulders and no curves that you needed to slow down for, I met a county mounty going the other way. I only had a 3 minute ride into the next town, but by the time I got there, there was a city cop with his car in the middle of the road. When the sheriff caught up, after I parked the bike and took my helmet off, he said I was the fastest one he had ever got on his radar, at 124 in a 55 zone. You can outrun the cops, sometimes, but you can’t outrun the radios. Oh, that was 1979, and it cost me $40 for the 124 in a 55 speeding ticket.

I to had a Chief of Police father when I turned 16 in '72. I also had a low 10 second street car. When not going to the strip or running someone at our street-strip I'd usually pull the 4.56 pumpkin and toss in a 3.00 for the milage and save wear and tear. Taking my girlfriend home I decided to see how fast I could get to town, 20 miles. It'd top at 134-137 in the quarter, but run mid 150s with the 3.00, actually faster but It'd float, stretch the front shocks and springs to stupidity. 3 am and there was a car coming towards the hiway on a gravel side road. Minute later I noticed that car wasn't catching up to me, but it was running faster than most could. 3/4 mile from town I decided it had to be a Deputy or State Trooper, radioed ahead, dad would be sitting at the city limit sign so I whipped into the cemetery drive jumping out like I'd stopped to take a leak. Deputy Lyle shut it down in time to pull in and said he knew that wasn't me being that stupid on a public road, but no one had passed my dad so it was me. Told me he'd get with me later that day, but to go down the dirt road to the back driveway to my house and park it, he'd tell dad he'd lost the guy somewhere. I was happy he didn't look in the car, had 2 cases of beer, 6-7 bottles of booze I'd gotten at mom's liquor store after she'd gone home, for the next day, a Sunday when alcohol wasn't then available on Sundays. Next day he called and said to meet him at the diner. Already had a ticket written but reamed me a new hole before giving it to me. Wanted to know how fast I was going, I said 152-155. Said he'd never run that pony that fast, couldn't handle it. Thought that was a compliment beings he was also a crop dusting pilot. Careless and imprudent at a high rate of speed, cost half a weeks pay, 6 points off my license. Dad had to know but never mentioned it. Can't outrun a Motorola.
