There is not a size requirement in Florida. However, I don't keep anything under 6" and I don't keep any females. The female thing is just a preference. Females mate once and keep laying eggs for their lifetime. In my spot they are all large and heavy.

@@matthewg8922 good to know! I live in middle Mississippi so I just make it down there a few times a year, and the regulations book I had said that had to be 5 inches horn measurement in the northwest zone I was in. I’m sure you’re right, I just always try to make sure I’m 100% legal!
