I think this is the direction we're going to go in. Low cost to buy, low cost to operate, and takes up very little room to park and drive. However, it absolutely NEEDS windows that roll up and down. You have to be protected from the elements. And you need to be able to lock your stuff inside. I wish they said how fast it'll go, and how far.

Fun little car... kind of. Last time I checked it went by the name of Renault Twizy. I owned it for about 6 months. Range is about 100km max, speed 60 or 80km/h, suspension is hard like a F1 car, acceleration is decent but not amazing. The fact that is not sealed and there is no ventilation means that toxic exhaust gasses from conventional vehicles enter easy and stay long, especially in heavy traffic. It basically strips the feeling of comfort and protection you might be used to when driving a normal car. So you decide if that's fun or not.

Good promotional video. I love the streets of San Francisco. However, Mike Waltman, (VP of Fleet, Scoot), pushes DOWN on the driver's shoulder harness to display the access to the rear seat. WRONG! He should have lifted UP and FORWARD on the driver's safety harness to display the easy access to the rear seat. Regardless, the absence of side-windows was/is a serious detriment to the "QUAD SCOOT"'s marketability. Warm air de-mist to the windshield would also be an asset on those misty and damp January San Francisco mornings...
