Scooter Steering Damper Installation

This video is the installation of the custom steering damper for electric scooter.

You may not need the special pieces he made for the 55mm bracket. You can cut a middle gap in the back part the 55mm bracket basically created two smaller pieces. It’s not a complete wrap around on the back bracket, but it it still secure and shouldn’t fall off. You can also get a thin piece of galvanized sheet metal, fold it a few times, cut to size and create your custom piece for a complete wrap around. No special tools needed. Thanks for the video! Agreed. I took your suggestion and chopped the included 55mm clamp as you suggested. It was plenty of partial wrap-around like that and has held up well. Thanks to the poster of the video and this added suggestion.

I was thinking the same thing but instead of buying new lights just take off the ones fitted and mount them in front of the shocks instead of the side.

Hi Joel, Thanks for your explanation and ideas. I bought all the parts from aliexpress but i was wondering if you can help me with some measurements for the 55mm clamp modification. I dont have access to the scooter now and i can try to prepare the 2 halves but i dont have any measurements to start from. Do you have by any chance some template or some dimentions to help me with? He brought a V7 damper kit and modified it to fit at the front. It does seem better in that position. Avoids getting in the way of the folding mechanism while leaving more room where you stand.
