Fun fact: if the defendant is charging his customers who pay via PayPal an extra fee to cover PayPal’s fees, that’s a violation of PayPal’s terms of service. You can lose your account doing that if someone complains to PayPal about it.

when she say things like that, its usually from reading the defendant's answer to the complaints in their original statements. She gets to read all of their answers beforehand to prepare for each case. Sometimes she brings them up and read them outloud but not in this case.

The Defendant knows how to play the game. "Oh, poor me. I did everything I could. The Plaintiff is just unreasonable." Knowing that he gave the Plaintiff a 30 day warranty & ducking his calls. The Plaintiff is in the red having to take time/money transporting the scooter from Manhattan to Queens multiple times within the first week of buying it. He should of sued him for wages as well.

Give the guy back his money. This guy sold a scooter that doesn’t work. Period. He had to loose out on work because of a faulty product. Then had to pay to bring the scooter to him. Twice. If the battery was going flat it may have been a problem with alternator. He had a 30 day warranty, the dealer should have got a mechanic to look at it.

Judge screwed up on this case. If it was judge Judy, this case would’ve ended in 2 minutes and plaintiff wouldn’t have gotten anything. Why? Because he bought the scooter as IS. Plus the defendant did all he could at no charge to help this plaintiff already but he still wasn’t satisfy! It’s not like he refused and ignored the plaintiff smh.

Always test drive a car, scooter, or motorcycle before you pay for a used vehicle. And the dealer does not have to pay for registration, taxes, and whatever the Plaintiff thinks the dealer owes him. IT WAS AN AS IS SALE!

Omg the dmv 100% gives you a refund for your registration if you turn your plates in before the registration is due. I LITERALLY just received a refund Monday 3 days ago because i bought a new car and the dealership put plates on instead of transferringmy old ones. I dropped my plates off at the dmv and the dmv sent me a check because i still had 8 months on my registration. You pay for a year or how ever mamy years and if uou dont use the registration that long you get your money back. Clearly the defendant doesnt know how the dmv workd

I've seen too many times the track record and history in many of these cases where race is oftentimes the major factor in her rulings. This particular case would've certainly been the same had it not been for the defendant's honesty about that 30 day warranty. No doubt about it

I don't know if I've seen a more honest defendant on the People's Court. He obviously does his best to take care of his customers which is refreshing watching this show.
