i never took "death blight" serious until this catacomb showed up at least you had a chance with madness and scarlet rot, but this is instant death thanks for the walkthrough

I love the progress design of this dungeon, still you're right: especially the trap in the wall porting you back to the beginning got me stunned. I don't remember one Illusion door that led to negative consequences like this in the regular game. Ignoring the warnings on the Fluor, i HAD to try it. And payed the price ;) This is a really well-made innovative elden ring dungeon.

Nah dungeon with chariots and magma floor in the base game and also the first hero grave when your character enter the world for the first time. I forget the dungeon's name, hero grave whatever. Those dungeons are still the most torturous dungeon in the game.

I’m pretty sure y’all know this by now but if you use Maliketh’s blade for its Ash Of War, you can hit the eyes and they’ll stop working for the rest of the dungeon

I just double checked and used the Black Knife and it worked. So basically any Destined Death spell or AoW would work…I’d heard black flames worms too but idk I didn’t test it

I noticed the frame cut at 10:47, probably because you fell through that wall with no collision as well. I wish you had kept that in cuz i definitely rolled thru it. Out of bounds death fall! I know the false "try rolling" messages are a dime a dozen but I do it anyway lol

This is the arguably the most difficult dungeon, I died so many times with those deathblight and surprises. Btw, the boss has very low poise, just use heavy, buff your stamina regen and you can stagger lock him to oblivion.

He also hates fire, which it seems consistent that most lightning enemies hate fire. Blasphemous Blade made very short work of him, FGMS and a couple talismans and g2g. Just had to learn to avoid his vampiric grab move because that’s devastating and overturned my whole first attempt in one move.

For those Evil Eye things that give off Death Blight, you can actually "kill" them (turn them off) with either the Black Knife (with Blade of Death) or Maliketh's Black Blade (with Destined Death). Key is obviously Death. They will still appear to be there, but they won't give off death any more. It only takes 1 hit since they only have 1 HP to lose.

I tried black knife and it didn’t work. I’ll try again but i heard Maliketh’s AoW does the trick. Maybe I just missed, idk.

@GR8Trollio I think you must have just missed. It's not easy to hit when it's over your head with the black knife. I think I had to get up on its level to hit it. I have seen others hit it from below in videos, but I found that difficult.

Once more saved my Elden Ring bacon- from dying more than once at least! It was those death blight Google eyes the first time caught me by surprise. Saved me a world of hurt and getting lost.

Death knight armor set is in Darklight Catacombs, accessible I believe only by finding the ladder leading down in the area where you encounter your first Fire Knight in Shadow Keep. Just search it up, it's a long walk and Shadow Keep is only the starting point

5:24 all three black knights can be easily dispatched luring them with arrows into the ceiling trap. I think I spent 6 arrows total. It’s an easy backstep and they’re dead

Glad I’m not the only one. There DOES need to be some sort of rehearsed points or script, imo, unless you’re just good off the cuff. Which is not always the case for a lot of video game content. ER creators either seem like super pros or seem to be doing it for a school project it’s so poor. I’ve always and will continue to look for VO guides, because there is just so much that needs to be explained in some parts. Like surprise Deathblight from a from statue you can’t kill that also shoots floating eyeballs. One wonders about these things.
