Thank you Murray, beautifully filmed as always, we are being spoilt, Skye and Harris 😍😍 I did not know it was a mixture of Norse and Gaelic. It is a truly stunning mountain 😁 The one with the rainbow, what a photo!!

Awesome Murray. What a mountain. I have a chalk drawing of one of my dogs ( now departed) Robbie one of our Golden Retrievers standing next to that round trig point. This was day 3 of my first venture into the Cullins and Robbie and his brother Rory did not want to leave the summit. Turns out the poor we souls paws were tender on the Garbo rock and 3 days was just too much. They did not go back to Skye with me but did do around 240 of the Munro’s plus all the doublers and trebblers. Great footage once again just creating more memories for me. Thank you once again.

@ScotlandsMountains Any effort must be congratulated! Geology and its terminology/jargon is another language to the uninitiated! If you ever find yourself searching for more information in the future, google the free to use Geoindex provided by the British Geological Survey. Use the key to set your desired criteria and have a play about! I found and subcribed to your channel 8 years ago in hospital after breaking both legs in a motorbike crash at the young age of 22. Whilst spending close to a year learning to walk again, your videos kept the walking passion alive! And whilst I cannot walk completely pain-free, I can now power through most of the pain and have summited many a Marilyn and Munro since! In no small part thanks to your absolute quality work on this channel, so again, I thank you! Apologies for the lengthy an overly emotional reply!😂

Me and my wife went up Blaven a while back and new to the mountain, thought we would follow the group in front and went up a very steep and exposed chute. Thinking it was the only way up and down my wife was very quiet on the way down, believing the chute was our only way. She was actually terrified at the prospect Thankfully just before we reached the chute we noticed the big boulder further down the corrie we seen at the start and realised we could cut down easily to that instead Her mood rapidly improved after that lol Stunning mountain

Been to Scotland (hence why David and I will be returning lol!) and one of our wishes is to go to Isle of Skye. Those views! Was great to see your wife and son with you, although what in the world is happening at the end of the vid? Way to go Murray in creating suspense! It was really hard to decide but my favorite would have to be the rainbow one. Stunning. At least, this time. If I were in a different frame (ha!) of mind, it might have been the NL one. Thanks so much for this series, this is off to a great start! 👋

Nice photographs Murray. The one you put up in the final section, on Marsco, is great but I like the one you show around 7 min 45 even more. The reason is that it's more isolated, and to me it's even more powerful. Not to say that your choice isn't a very nice one either. I like this concept that you have chosen to do for this trip!

Lovely mountain Blaven - Sheriff Nicolson reckoned it to be Skye's finest. The view from the summit is the best I've experienced from a mountain anywhere. But then I had a clear day - I recall the frustration of sitting for hours on the misty summit of nearby Sgurr na Stri hoping for the cloud to lift and reveal the view. It never did.

@@ScotlandsMountains The description was absolutely fine. As I said previously, I am always impressed with people who spend a lot of time in the outdoors...especially the north of Scotland....and start asking, 'why..how'....they are getting their eye into the landscape and picking out features. Geology is fun, to be simply biased (haha). You can take apart the landscape and once you understand the processes involved and the vast amount of time required, it is mind boggling. I still stand in amazement as I stand on Lewisian Gneiss at 2.8 billion years old, with a 900 million years Torridonian sandstone on top. No wonder a we dram is necessary at times...

Insane views Murray especially that rainbow and light across the Red Cullin. Absolutely incredible Is the summit a scramble or just a normal walk/ hike? Best wishes, Adam

Hi Adam, some easy scrambling (very easy) is done in short bits nearer the top ,(if you stay on the walkers route up :)) depends on your level of experience as to what defines easy though :) It is a magical mountain though hope you enjoy the rest of the videos in the series :) Thanks for watching and have a great Christmas ATB Murray

@ Hi Murray that’s great thanks , I’ve done a reasonable bit of Grade 1 scrambling in Snowdonia so should be fine. I’m not trained on ropes! lol It’s definitely on the bucket list what a mountain! Your filming was incredible! Look forward to the other videos to come. Best wishes

That's cheating a bit on the photos on Harris lol. Point your camera just about anywhere and it's absolutely stunning whatever the weather. Can't wait to go back there.

Hi Murray Love the videos as always. Just wanted to get your thoughts on those orange trousers you’re wearing? Are they Revolution Race? Was considering getting stuff from the brand but most of the reviews are from sponsored individuals and would love to get an opinion that doesn’t have an affiliate link. Thanks Tom

Hi Tom - yes the orange ones are revolution race. I really like them but would not wear them if rain was forecast as these are slightly heavier material and although great in most condition , might take longer to dry ....

Bla ven ! At the top the places where you talked to camera, seemed to have fair bit of exposure, bit like being in a helicopter at altitude with the door open and your legs hanging out😮your best photographs at end of your film were pin sharp old chap😊..

Indeed Bla Bheinn is not a mountain to get lost on - pretty much cliffs all the way around apart from the walkers route up - a magnificent place and mountain though :)
