This is my favorite kind of fight scene. They all have some level of combat training but it is not over choreographed ballet where an unstoppable fighter wades through hundreds of mooks. Even though these are just common thugs, they are tough and require effort to take down. Same reason why I like John Wick, he’s badass but he can still get bloodied and beaten so it’s not too one sided.

Guaranteed he had a shit load of fun playing this character, screaming around while just being Insane the entire movie. In my opinion this has to be his best work. Aside from the undisputed movies. I truly believe Scott can be a great actor. He’s already got the star in him, if he really began to dig into how to truly become a successful actor he would completely dominate damn near any star. He really is underrated.

Really? There was no humour in this at all. The script and acting was almost as bad as an Eastenders episode, and Eastenders is unbelievably SHIT. The only thing I enjoyed were the fight scenes and the fact it was very simple.

One of my new favorite movies. It has non stop action while the tension builds up in the bar for a final showdown. With a plot easy to follow and has no plot holes allowing viewers to see details before the final fight acting as a hype man for Cain's character arc culminating in the man versus the world/system (him fighting his brothers evil business empire).

@@H.K.5 He is literally in Doctor Strange, A Marvel movie, and Ip man. Expendables. He also has a bunch of award wins like the Action on Film win. Best stunt, Best acton film AND Hollywood arts and movie award in 2020 for Legacy of Lies. He won Best Action film director at the Jackie Chan Imternational Action film week. Once again. He is not underrated. He is by far my favorite actor and director, but he is very very well known for his Action films.

He hasn’t been in anything popular in years, he’s definitely underrated and deserves much bigger roles than what he’s always getting. He did get a bit of fame from Avengement which is good to see.

I love it wasn't made easy for him, like most fight scenes with the main character. He took some serious knocks and got some serious injuries and the thugs he was fighting were all capable fighters and tough guys who didn't go down after one hit. And the adrenaline rush Scott was fighting with in order to keep himself in the fight, the screaming, shouting and hyping himself up. Because that's what even the calmest and quiet people would do if they had to fight ten people

Yooo I was just thinking the same thing. The foley artist did an amazing job. I'm listening on a mono smartphone speaker right now (have watched it on a big screen / speakers before though) and it's still like I can feel every blow connecting, prop smashing etc. And there's not a hint that the sounds aren't actually coming from the environment. So good! It's for sure a major reason that this scene is so impactful.

Such a realistic, brutal fight scene. No wires or complicated moves. Those thugs were tough but Scott's character was just a pure beast. I admire his honour in not hitting a woman. That skanky barmaid smashed a bottle on him, threw a bag of weapons to the bad guys and egged them on and yet she was allowed to live and go unscathed. I'm against violence towards women but she deserved some kind of payback!

Cain looked at her as if she is someone's mother. And the very real and recent experience of losing his own mother kept him restrained; even though she did deserve it. He wasn't being kind to her; he was attempting to spare her possible children the same pain that weighs on his heart. A good man, indeed.

I hate the woke culture. I hate seeing entire film franchises go to shit for the sake of "girl power and equality" (that girl power scene in Endgame pissed me off so much that I almost walked out of the cinema). But none of that applies here. She was actually a victim of circumstance. She was terrified and only wanted to live, so she sided with who she thought would be the winning team. Can you imagine what those men would have done to her if she helped him and he ended up losing? She would have been better off staying out of it completely, but we all do stupid things don't we? At the end, after everyone was dead, she was completely helpless and defenseless - a victim of a feud she had no part in; he instinctively realized that, as any real man should.
