the core is made of a paraffin wax in preform mold,... then melted.

You know or just trying to guess ? 1:49 "...during the molding process the layers are compressed while they cure..."Then, after 1:53 you may notice some fluid ports. My guess is that they blow "something" (hot air ?) inside the core to press the layers between the core and the mold. How can that be solid paraffin ?Besides, a paraffin thin layer, that normally remains after melting will prevent parts to be assembled. There is no resin on earth that adhere to paraffin.

They could be using a clearing agent such as xylene to remove the paraffin wax. That's how paraffin is removed from tissues in the hospital histology labs.

I'm going to start making my own carbon bikes. I'm not spending$7000 when it costs about $400 in material to make it. And they're being made in either Taiwan or China for way less. Cycling has become a status symbol of wealth and it shouldn't be. In the most basic form a carbon bike is made with a foam mold, carbon fiber rolls, epoxy, a vacuum and patience.

Scott is German... yes made in Taiwan under the most high standards however, strictly German technology .
