Hi mate. Just curious if you’ve ever had any issues removing the shaft bearing opposite to the sprocket end? I cannot for the life of me get it off. I’ve tried soaking it wd-40 over night and using a gear puller which has its limitations with the pressed housing.

Yep it's a tight one--in an awkward space! Try giving it a hit to move the bearing towards the centre of the shaft and then removing it. I've also used the weight of the roller half to pound it off (using little jolts if the other half isn't off yet)

Love your vids dude! About to start my first resto so you’ll def be getting some more views on these vids haha. Any plans on more vids? Restoration vids? Post resto re-assembly vids?

Good on ya bro! You'll love it, great sense of accomplishment to get through one of these mowers (they're really not so hard). Lots more to come. Next and final vid in the teardown series is all about stripping and rust removal... should be up soon-ish. And have also started sorting through the rebuild footage for that series. Then the question as to do whether I do a groomer (TBD!)

Love Larn Yes! I dare say every SB has rust so it will come in handy

Are you going in for a re-bush?
@LoveLarn5 жыл бұрын
The bushes are one of the few things I didn't replace on this machine, mainly because they weren't really on my radar at the time and I didn't know how to get the old ones out or source replacements. These roller halves were a snug fit to the rear roller shaft so I think she'll last me another few years ;-)
