You know you’ve wondered if Coach C being gone is the problem with UGA. Certainly fits the mold with the lack of effort and focus on the play this year.

As you were talking to Scott Cochran, Keep in mind, Like Saban was having problems when he left Kirby is having the same problems today. Because you have depth issues, Due to kids, not remaining on rosters and transferring (nil trends). Kirby has mentioned that he can no longer push the players and do the same and reps as they used to. So you may have a bloody Tuesday that is not what bloody Tuesday used to be. I also think that is why Kirby tries to find players that have raw potential and it takes 2-3 Years to get them up to speed as he knows that UGA Can’t afford to go out and buy a 1-2 mil QB, And a bunch of other players at high ticket prices as it creates a problem on the team where everybody now wants money, especially if you get a bunch of good players. Quite frankly, I don’t think we have the money to out spend teams like Texas. I might be wrong, but kids are generally so soft these days, Keeping hard knows talented kids at a place like Bammer or Georgia is going to be extremely tough under the old Saban model. So if you wanna win, you’re gonna have to pay players a lot of money. On the flipside if you can pitch it that your developing kids for the NFL and this is how they run the system and it’s very professional that hopefully this model will continue to work. It will be interesting to see as I know there are players out there in Gas back yard Julian Lewis that has all the markings to be the next Bryce Young/Tua T. But I know he has a high price tag as everybody’s throwing money at him. In Kirby more or less when he asked about quarterback, says that they like to go out and find development players, meaning we don’t or dont want to start grossly overpaying individual players. Maybe this changes, But I think Kirby is really wanting to avoid certain individuals being greater than the team, As he knows that college football is becoming a cancer, as individuals are becoming more powerful rather than the team

Losing to Vandy was probably a bigger wake-up call to the team than a loss to SC would have been. DeBoer needs to not be afraid to replace starters as well. The biggest advantage of recruiting well is that you have physically gifted depth. If you want to motivate a player, start giving more snaps to his backup. You want to motivate the younger guys, start giving the hardest workers snaps. Sark does this extremely well. Not only does he has a former walk-on as a starting safety, but he schemes up big plays for the receivers who put the most effort into blocking in the run game. He brought in three transfers at DT, not just for depth, but also give the presumptive starters competition. If there's one thing both Saban and Belichick took to their core from Parcells it's that "hard work beats talent, if talent doesn't work hard. If talent work hard, they beat everybody."

Brooks I came looking for the reaction show but I have a question post Texas: Don't get me wrong I am happy for the win, but it sure feels like we are making it harder than it needs to be. Against Miss St. we had them buried, but because we didn't run the ball we lengthened the game and gave them a chance to get back in it. Yesterday we were up big and gashing them with the run in the first half, but again continued to sling it all over the lot. We could not run the ball at the end of the game to kill the game. Man it feels like Bobo has adopted an new offensive philosophy. We have 3 solid running backs. What is up with that in your opinion? Sooner or later these interceptions and our inability to shorten the game with a lead are going to bite us. BTW love Coach Cochran.

Don't you dare say the Texas OU wasn't a challenge. It's a huge challenge each and every year. This year, Texas took on the challenge and won big. All you have to do is look at the history of this rivalry, which is what nearly every commentator mentioned in the weeks before the game. Now, after the fact, it's not a challenge because Texas met it and beat the crap out of the Sooners?
