I love Pentatonix. Eventually want to go through entire catalog. We have seen a few videos already. Give us suggestions on which to react to next.

They are fantastic live. I have been lucky to see them 4 x's 1st time on Avi's last tour, 2 other x's and finally their Christmas tour. Yes, they do sound just as good live! Don't ever pass on a chance to see them. You will not be disappointed!!! Be my Eyes and Water come to mind where Kirstie sings the lead. One of my very favorite songs they do is Carol of the Bells. Please react to their live version from Christmas Under the Stars 2022. It is crazy. Too many great ones to mention.

Kevin graduated from Yale in Pre-med . His dad & brother are doctors, that was his goal originally until Pentatonix recruited him. He speaks a number of languages & is fluent in Mandarin Chinese as he spent some time over there. Amazing guy with a great laugh !

You should check out all of their Hollywood Bowl 2022 live performances. They are truly live and amazing. This one was recorded live as a group at the VEVO studio but it’s been professionally engineered afterwards. You should also watch their recording of the Evergreen album short film. You’ll get a better sense of how they sound unfiltered and how they record their music. I hope you do more. They are incredible performers.

If you watch Kirstie's (too short!) solo, at the end you can see Kevin reach out with his foot and tap his pedal pad to change the sound of his electric cello from what he's been playing (an acoustic cello) to something that sounds a lot more like an electric guitar. If you watch "The Kevin Show - Kevin's Fifth" which is a live performance during their Christmas 2022 tour, you'll really be able to see him switch the cello back-and-forth between acoustic cello and electric guitar sounds. For songs where Kirstie has the lead, I recommend Say Something (Kevin plays the cello again), My Favorite Things (from The Sound Of Music), or Rather Be. For songs where Matt has a lead or significant part, try O Holy Night (the 2023 version), You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch, or New Rules x Are You That Somebody.

Subscribed for more Pentatonix. Kevin graduated premed from Yale just before joining Pentatonix. He speaks fluent Chinese and has played Carnegie Hall twice; once with the cello and once with the saxophone. Other than the volume disparity, this was a great reaction. Recommend their cover of Seasons Of Love (PBS version).

One thing I want to point out, I can not turn my speakers up loud enough to hear the two of you speaking, but the music is so loud, I have to turn it down quickly so it doesn't burst my speakers. If that's the only thing not right, your doing good. Let's see what else you have...

Subbed for more PTX. If u want more of Kirstie watch her in O Holy Night s she brings the house down with her belt. PTX won the Sing Off in 2011 and they paved the way for other a capella groups to follow. 2 notable ones are the Singoff 2013 winners, Home Free and Voiceplay which came in second that year. They are good too but PTX is the GOAT. Home Free is more country while Voiceplay leans towards theater.

Kevin does percussion with pads and pedals too. Also slaps on his body. Not just his mouth. He is seen doing this in multiple videos. It is not an issue. And should not be to such a "fan" of theirs.

Yes, they are just as good live! I am so excited! I will be seeing them in a couple of weeks for the fourth time! That is a big deal, because I am an old stick-in-the-mud cat lady who hates crowds, lol, so only Pentatonix can lure me to a concert. I'm gonna dance the whole time! I don't know if this song is in their set list, but I hope they do it. There are a few great Kirstin leads, the first one that comes to mind is for me right now is their cover of "Shallow," and their original song "Water." There is no official video for "Water" but a live version is in their "Popspring 2016" concert video which includes three original PTX songs plus their evolution of Michael Jackson. Their original music is always amazing! Subbed for more!
