Great vid, thnx! Only used granny bikes and the seat felt awfull as you said! Thought it was just part of "faster bikes". Whats some soft and comfortable seats you would recommend? Big thanks in advance!

hello, I'm looking for a new bike, but I don't have much experience, so I'm interested in your opinion between Scott sub cross 10 or Scott metrix 20 or maybe a Cube bike. otherwise, I drive daily tours up to 50, 60 km, mostly asphalt and gravel roads. thank you in advance.
@COOLBIKEyt5 ай бұрын
Hi, cross bikes are great for such routes and this type of riding. Check out Canyon Pathlite 6/7, and Polygon Heist X5/X7. Movie about Canyon will appear in a month (I'm currently editing it), and about Polygon in 2-3 months.

@@COOLBIKEyt thank you for your reply. I still had cube nature exc in circulation. is he also a good option compared to scott, canyon and polygon?
@COOLBIKEyt5 ай бұрын
Cube is ok, but it has oldschool 3x.. drivetrain. Canyon, and Polygon have 1x.., and in higher versions thrue axles. So you can easily install better wheels on them, and this is important if you want to have this bike for a long time. In bikes at this price range, producers always save on wheels, and tires. So they are worth replacing as a first.

@@FantomxXx-r3d Check out these videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3TLYnpun5WEipY kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2WsonaobayDoqM in my opinion it's best to build something custom using DT parts, or look for slightly used ready-made DT wheels.

What is the weight of this bike? What is the maximum tyre clearance?
@COOLBIKEyt Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to weigh it, but I'm betting it's about 10 kilos. Now it's on 40c tires, front should fit 45c. I'm not sure if rear triagle will be able to handle with it.
@zorantobdzic7364 Жыл бұрын
10kg. Maximum clearance 40mm

Hi, you mean this bike?
@borgo16336 ай бұрын
@@COOLBIKEyt yes!
@COOLBIKEyt6 ай бұрын
@@borgo1633 You can change it, but it is expensive. You would have to change the hub or entire wheel to have a Microsline freehub for a 12-speed cassette. In addition: derailleur, shifter, chain, and I don't know if the sprockets on the crank would accept a thinner chain, so they would probably have to be changed too. It would be much cheaper to change it to 1x11. Then you would only have to change: cassette, shifter and chain.

Czemu uważasz, że lepszym wyborem od Scotta jest Cube?
@COOLBIKEyt Жыл бұрын

Scott the best??? Canyon Roadlite CF 7!!!
@COOLBIKEyt Жыл бұрын
Title of the movie is a question ;). I did not say, that Scott is the best, just that it is interesting option. It has its advantages, and disadvantages. I have to admit that Canyon is the cheapest Carbon bike... but is cheap carbon better than good aluminum? Personally, I don't like carbon frames, and I will always choose aluminum ones. Until magnesium become more popular.
@zorantobdzic7364 Жыл бұрын
@@COOLBIKEyt Canyon is cheap because it's sold directly from the manufacturer. If Canyon was offered through the dealership, it would be at least 50%-70% more expensive. Carbon layering on the Canyon bikes is way better than on Trek or Specialized. You should try one; you will definitely change your opinion.
@COOLBIKEyt Жыл бұрын
@@zorantobdzic7364 Check out Jourdain Coleman's YT channel, and there you'll see what a Canyon frame looks like cut in half. It is in no way better than Specialized :). I don't like Carbon, because of its low resistance to damage, high price, often poor workmanship, and because it is not decomposable. So all those frames will end up in the trash, in 10-15 years and will be there forever. Unlike aluminum, which can later be melted down, and made into whatever you want.

Indeed, this BMC looks very good, and has no cables routed through the headset, and thru-axles, so big plus for that. But I have never seen one, so it's not very popular, at least in my country.
