What's better use for these planes than to donate them to Ukraine? Countries that donate F-16 are receiving F-35 as replacements. These planes have been guarding NATO airspace for decades and have been paid off in that role. You better worry about Russian taxpayers and where the 40% of the RUS budget goes to. You guessed it, it goes down the drain to fund unwinnable war in Ukraine. There is no money for healthcare, pensions, infrastructure, education, welfare, housing, transportation, criminal justice, science....

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list. Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

MH17 was intentionally send to be shot down. Ukraine authorities knew that zone was not safe and that rebels possessed AA capabilities, but no radars to determine what plane it is. In addition that rebels announced that they will shot down anyone entering their controlled airspace. Yet knowing all of this, Ukraine still sent this plane thru rebel-controlled airspace, assuring pilots that everything is hunky-dory. It is also worth noting that MH17 already had alternative route, thru Russian airspace, in case of problems.

Wrong, Turkish intelligence nailed it. An SU 57 was stalking the battlefield undetected and fired a R37 missile (also undetected) at the F16. It never knew what hit it. The Patriot uses the "friend/Foe" system and wouldn't have fired at the F16. If it did, the F16 would've used countermeasures and flew a defensive pattern. It did none of this. NATO can't admit that an SU 57 and its missile were completely invisible to NATO air defenses.

Nonsens. It is actually quite easy to fly. It is difficult to use it as a weapon though, mainly because pilot "sits on a plane" more than inside of it, and he looks at the instruments that are all below. This could lead to pilots disorientation and caused a few accidents in the past.

The F-16s given to Ukraine are: 1. very old and well passed their best-by date 2. very few in number (half a dozen!) versus hundreds of advanced Russian planes 3. flown by inexperienced pilots 4. difficult to maintain 5. easy to shoot down They are a colossal waste of time and money.

this has some truth to it but it's also speculative. Yes, the airframes are roughly exhausted ... but they aren't just going to disintegrate. And the pilots know to keep the stress to a minimum unless it is a matter of life and death. At which point, it's a worthwhile risk. More importantly, yeah, the Irbis with the 400 km range sounds good ... but that is of a larger target also. Something smaller like an F-16 will be much shorter. Anyway, the Su-35 and MiG-35 are both capable aircraft with slightly longer range radar ... especially bc Russia flies their A-50 near enough to help with targeting. The real factor isn't where they can detect, but where they can engage a maneuvering aircraft with enough energy to likely hit it. Very complicated stuff.

First we were told the war would be over soon (again) as the Russians cant fight, but Ukraine needed some cash just in case. Then we were told that all West Ukraine needed were more missiles and more money. Then we were told all West Ukraine needed were tanks and yet more money of course. Then we were told that all West Ukraine needed were F16s and still more money. And don't forget cluster bombs and the uranium tank shells. Meanwhile Zelenskii lost his democratic mandate, the war cabinet has been sacked, and West Ukraine is short of men and forces younger and younger men to enlist. And Russia keeps advancing. Something smells fishy to me. Doesnt it to you?

The Russians have proven for the past 2.5 years that their military is so far superior to the United States military that a piece such as this piece comparing the two aircraft's proves that not only is Russia superior in fighter jet design and technology but their missile, hypersonic missile ( the USA does even have its first hypersonic missile yet) drone technology, armaments, manufacturing capabilities, lower costs, larger navy, better air defense and radar jamming technology etc over and above the United States and it hurts me to point this out
