I just love when a good guy character reaches his breaking point

Same, you can hear it in his voice how he's struggling to remain calm. His anger and grief are wrestling with his heroic ideals, and I think its pretty telling that he leaves the room after saying humanity is lucky to be alive: he knows that if he stays he'll lose his temper and potentially hurt someone. To me, this is how you do morally grey heroes right: you push them to their breaking point and force them to question how they can stick to their morals AND help people.

Despite Scott greiveing his son, he is not wrong, humans still threaten mutants even through the x-men have fought aliens, evil robots, evil versions of their own kind, and all kinds of monsters to protect the world, the X-men along with every mutant on earth would easily crushed humanity if not for their compassion and wisdom.

So many autistic commenters here who can’t grasp the subtlety of interpretation. It’s not a debate. It’s not a matter of him being right. The character is grieving and it’s what’s fuelling his anger 🙄 Some dummies need everything spelled out to them

I love that Wolverine has a Canadian accent. It makes so much sense too due to him being from Canada in the comics and escaping to the states.

I love Scott is reaching a breaking point here. Charles gave the X-Men to Magneto his wife came and Jean he was with was a clone, he had to give up his infant son so he could and after everything he’s been through he’s had enough. He said things he’s probably thought but kept to himself out of respect to humans but you can feel he’s tired and it’s getting and the fact he’s not wrong about how despite the X-Men risking their to save humanity, humanity is still ungrateful cause if they like humans do, humans would’ve long gone

Please tell me you’re not old enough to have seen the original in the 90s. If so, you should be embarrassed that you’d have such a lame brained interpretation of what you’ve just seen. You kids need to stop misusing the word “facts”. I realise you think it sounds cool and you want to fit in, but it makes you sound stupid right from the get go. Your parents should’ve told you. Facts are about events, not your personal interpretation 🙄

When a mutant loses it, when they reach their breaking point, that is when they show their humanity! Sorry mutants, but it's true. Anger is neither good or evil. Anger is pain, and pain is emotion. Emotion is something all living things have. Pain proves we are alive.

As much as he somewhat has a point, Scott seriously screwed it up here: by looking resentful towards people and calling them spitefully "normals" make him look as a bigot and mysanthropic man, not to mention an uncaring father ("I abandoned him because you're normal.") and a liar untrustworthy person. All while being interviewed by a sapiens journanist woman who sympathyzes with them and wants to spotlight them in a positive way. Their mission is to prove coexistence is possible and FOH and other fellas are wrong about mutants. With this spiteful and hateful speech, Scott put mutants in a very bad light, because he gave people the perception all mutants DO hate humans (sapiens) and do not make the effort to trust people (thus, the trust effort is not reciprocated) as he lied. I understand he's grieving but he could've used any other excuse (ex. My son nearly died, he's been sent to be cured) or refuse to be interviewed like Jean did. He pretty much ruined Xavier's hard work and I honestly blame him. Mutantkind's situation is already precarious and now that some people start to consider trusting and interfacing with them...he proceeded to make it worse.
