Hell yeah! When Priest got Scott I was very familiar with him gave them a shot in the arm. I played for 16 years and dude is a beast fast and makes it effortless. By far my favorite drummer long live Priest.

I am just learning. What do you think of Neal Peart and Bonzo's bass drum triplets? Keith Moon and Ginger Baker? I am interested in your opinion as a drummer-who was the most innovative? Cheers, from Toronto ☮ P.S- I don't like "Lists" but is Buddy Rich on yours?

Awesome how that cameraman can't seem to sit still for 2 seconds and the zoom into Scott's leg at 1:44 was especially artistic. Also very cool how he lowers the camera to Scott's feet after every double bass roll while they aren't doing anything.

His being so tall and lanky is part of what makes him the drummer that he is.....( Definitely talented). Just look at how tone the back of his arms are.. from years of playing... I love todays preist ! With Scott and Faulkner the falcon!! This band is ledgend.

@chillichomper Scott is one of the world's great heavy metal drummers, but it's silly to compare him to a maniac like Simon Phillips. Agree with you that Sin after Sin is a groundbreaking, amazing album, criminally overlooked as a metal classic.

Thanks for filming these vidz; He makes every Pre-Painkiller J.P. song he touches sound better than the original with Dave Holland. Older Judas Priest songs from before '89 just sound better with Scott's touch on it;

@Jaques208 жыл бұрын
When'd he change gear? I've always known him to use tama and Paiste, Not Dw and zildjian
@zublacus8 жыл бұрын
He changed from Tama to Pearl for the tour in 2007/2008. Pearl didn't hold up to tour abuse, and in late 2008 he switched to DW. If you watch the Racer X NAMM show in January 2009, he played his first DW kit (orange sparkle).
@Jaques208 жыл бұрын
And Zildjian?
@haydendraycott78978 жыл бұрын
I think he just experimented with Zildjian to see what they had to offer. I believe he opted to stay with Paiste though as he is still on the Paiste website and not on Zildjian's. I saw him and Priest in the fall of '14 and I'm almost positive he had Paistes on his set. Both Paiste and Zildjian are pretty consistent with updating their artist roster and make clear who's new to their companies. Like I said, I have not seen Scott anywhere mentioned on the Zildjian website, so I guess he tried Zildjian and decided to stay with Paiste. That's just my best guess.

what is this drum stick?
@zublacus6 жыл бұрын
Vater. It's a standard stick that anyone can buy. He now has custom Judas Priest sticks, but it's still the same type of stick from Vater. This is why previously, Scott never gave new drum sticks to fans, since anyone could buy them and say it was his. So he would only give worn sticks, and if you know his play...his wear is unique.
@suppaman15596 жыл бұрын
