When i was a child six years old i can remember seeing the walker brothers on totps. From then on i was hooked. Scott had a unique voice although he liked off the wall songs he could have been a superstar if chosen to record more commercial songs. I still think he's the coolest man of the sixties. Not sure my wife agrees 😊.

It was not what he wanted. Around the time of his 1980s Tilt album, he had found it. And yes, like many other Scott fans, I regret that in the 90s, he sacrificed his unique voice. It was short of a crime

Scott was my first love and he remained so till the day he passed away . As a teenager he really touched my soul and I was fortunate to see the Walker Brothers at Newcastle City Hall . I stood right next to him as they were signing autographs at the stage door. He looked so handsome dressed in jeans , a polo neck top and a brown corduroy jacket . He was truly gorgeous. . Im my mind and heart he always will be .

Like most I first heard Scott with the Walker Brothers. Loved his voice straight away. Just 'discovered' his solo output. Lot's to explore there. This guy was lightyears ahead of many. I can hear his influence on Bowie, Bryan Ferry, Peter Gabriel, Eno, and no doubt countless others. I sure hope people find there way to his music especially the later stuff which is challenging, engaging, and incredibly deep. RIP Scott.

I love this song and Scott Walker's fabulous voice. Unfortunately, he died and I wish he hadn't so that we could've continued to hear his great voice. In saying that, I can't say that he will be singing with the angels now as someone said below. Angels don't exist and he can't sing now...he's dead. I do love to read the various remarks in these columns but we need to keep it real. Back to Scott............what a great singer, who cannot be replaced.

@@audreybolton1388 I saw him in Tooting, a town in London. Jimmy Hendrix was the first to perform. I recall him rolling around the stage and playing the guitar with his teeth! Then Englebert Humperdink. He didn’t take off in the UK so many people took his performance time to go to the loo. After the break came “The Walker Brothers”. There was so many pathetic girls screaming that no one could hear them! I so wish I had kept my programme. Take Care.

Simply the best contemporary singing voice in popular music. What a talent this man was. Couldn’t really handle his popularity at it’s peak and walked away to pursue his own path. I would recommend anyone who loves great music to watch the documentary about Scott, 30th Century Man, what a life and musical journey he went through. A legend RIP.
