Many people can play an instrument but an organist seems to become part of the instrument! The fact that each hand and foot is doing something different is mind boggling.

For those who have never heard it in this context, at 1:22, Jonathan Scott exhibits what is called "heel and toe" method for playing melodic lines in the pedals. And he does it extremely well!
That’s always been one of my favorite organ pieces. That is impressive. Would like to see that in a darkened cathedral.

That was AWESOME. Love watching you perform and especially the footwork. Each hand is doing something different and the feet have a mind of their own. You are great. Don H Ocala, Florida USA

I am not an organ player but usually you can hear some slight imperfections in precision on timing mostly due to how organs are complex instrument. But here, those two incredible brothers play it all exactly spot on even at the tempo of this Can can. So impressive

This organ seems to particular responsive, and the acoustics quick enough to avoid the sound becoming a muddled mess of reverberation. Ideal combination.

@@WCM1945 I notice he is using a lot of reed stops. I wonder if that helps.
@WCM19453 жыл бұрын
@@mkshffr4936 Reeds are generally quicker in attack, but slower to decay. But neither characteristic is pronounced enough (IMO) to make a difference here. I have to credit the flawless balance of organ to acoustics.
