Mine (motorized) came with the NP-F970 battery (thicc) - and I think I need to get some rubber bands, this battery falls out very easily, as in - make sure you orient the device in such a way that the battery is 'Up' or it has a fair chance of falling out. Also came without any of these great manuals, just a very short one describing all the parts.

Wow, Zeapon did quite a revision on the base for these sliders. Lots of interesting new features, and it looks to be wider and thus more stable. I wish there was a way to disable the slider motor for quick, manual slider moves. Relying on the limited number of speeds via the motor switches is restrictive. I would much prefer a dedicated remote control for the motorized features than a phone app. Overall, this looks like a fine product, but I'm waiting to see what Zeapon comes up with for a motorized head (and remote control) before investing into this system.
@ScottDumas4 жыл бұрын
Yeah they definitely took a lot of feedback from the original. I do agree that a quick "off" switch to go back to manual would be nice, but I've got by decently well with the 3 preset speeds... at least to the point that I don't feel the need to pull out my phone and use the app very often, if ever. I might be the minority there though. A dedicated remote would be interesting, I'll mention it to them. The motorized head I think will be the biggest thing out of all of this. They have an awesome base system and if they nail the design of the head it will be a huge huge hit and it's the last piece of the puzzle a lot of people are waiting for. Very much looking forward to it myself.

Hi! The new “plus” model is made so you can easily remove the motor and use it manually, but I was told the original sliders weren’t made with that in mind so the results wouldn’t be good... not sure exactly what would happen but it wasn’t officially recommended

Hi! I use a variety and it will depend on if you have any already or have personal preferences for size, strength, plate design etc. The ones I've been using lately are from ARTCISE and I have 2 different sizes, both work great and are Arca Swiss compatible. I had an Arca Swiss brand head before but I'll admit it's a little overpriced. I like the ARTCISE ones because the whole head can pan as usual but also the plate mount itself can pan, so once you get a level setting you can pan without messing up your horizon.

QUESTION - Just getting around to installing the M600 motor on my Micro2 ( as shown ). However, my stock slider belt is attached via an allen-headed screw FROM THE TOP (not the bottom/underside) of the camera mount apparatus and into a THREADED metal connector that's attached directly to the stock belt. Again, not from the bottom as depicted in this video. Parts included with motor are NOT threaded nor is the camera mount apparatus, it cannot receive the threads of a screw.. Thanks so much! I did though need a slider lately to shoot some upcoming video and ended up using my drawer in the closet since it has smooth rails and also my spinning computer chair to get some other movements (pretty creative ha?) It seems that the head mount is 1/4x20 which is disappointing. I wouldn’t trust a heavy video head and camera on such a small screw.
@ScottDumas4 жыл бұрын
@@davidp158 Yeah that is a bit of a downer at times but I think it's inevitable since there's no way to smoothly downsize a 3/8 to 1/4 for heads that need it like smaller ball heads. I would only worry about it when using it with heavy cameras on a steep incline though, and the vertical payload is limited to around 4kg anyway (including the head itself, and even then 4kg is borderline)- which shouldn't put toooo much stress on it. I guess because of that, the 1/4" screw is not too too bad.

@@ScottDumas just thought I would let you know, after this video and the original micro 2 video you convinced me to order the micro 2. I had been researching what I wanted in a slider for quite some time, but I think the thing that won me over was the expandable modularity of this system. The fact these start as budget friendly quality non motorized sliders, and can be upgraded to be quality motorized sliders is a huge bonus, but the suction cup mounts were the tipping point. Do you think the E800 will come out with a v2 or upgrade in the coming months like the Micro 2 did with the Plus?
@ScottDumas3 жыл бұрын
In reality I use the micro2 or 600 more than the 800... I think the 800 really needs the support arms even more and it’s sometimes more trouble than it’s worth for a few quick shots. The 600 can get away without them a lot more often, and of course the micro 2. As for the “plus” update, that’s a good question. I’ll see what I can find out!

It seems that there isn't an immediate plan to upgrade the 600/800... they were already an incremental upgrade from the quality and design of the original Micro 2, but they're not compatible with the newest version of the motor.

I'm not sure if anything has changed but in the sliders I've got the motorized version does not come with the extra track you'd need after removing the motor. Bad product, it has a design flaw! If the slider is on legs, for example on a table, there is a big shake when moving around the middle of the track - this is caused by a bad design: the support wheels go through the connection between the motor and the profile of the slider, there is a gap where the wheels sink into ... If the slider is on a tripod, this problem does not occur, but if it is placed on a table, it is unusable! Oh, so many reviews here, and no one has noticed ?
