Just ‘being drug by the car’ sets a very low bar. Just because a cop grabs onto a moving vehicle and doesn’t let go, that does not prove criminal intent by the driver. At some point the cops need to accept responsibility for their actions and even stupidity. With a mixture of vehicles, flashing lights, and the hectic directives coming from multiple cops (we’ve all seen that), where no1 cop takes control over the others. So with multiple cops yelling directives (some of which are conflicting), before reaching into a vehicle and possibly becoming entangled, ensure that the driver comprehends your directives and intent. Because without comprehending why the cop is reaching in, it could simply seem like you’re being attacked! Which can go 1 of 2 ways, Fight or Flight. Basic instincts kick in, with no way to predict which of the 2 will be dominate.

Sadly, any other person would now be sitting in jail awaiting trial. And they would possibly get several years in prison. Unfortunately for the LMPD, they arrested a millionaire who works for billionaires. Amazing how quickly this all got dismissed.

They had witnesses who said it didn't happen the way the officer said it did. I bet there was a camera on one of those buses, since many company's have them. Or a motorist had a dash cam. They back tracked really fast on this. As his lawyer said, Sheffler has enough money to fight this and he will if he has to, and this LMPD has an abysmal history of false arrests, excessive force, and discrimination. He made it clear he would bring a civil lawsuit the moment he faces a judge on the charges.

@mustangecoboosthpp3869
@mustangecoboosthpp3869 Ай бұрын
It would impossible to issue 108 tickets in 4 hours, do the math, that would be issuing one ticket every 45 seconds for four hours, you can't walk up to a violator, get their information go back write out the ticket, return to the violator have them sign the ticket and explain their options on how to take care of the ticket in 45 seconds. If this Detective Gillis did in fact issue 108 tickets in just 4 hours then I am calling him out as corrupt and he was making up tickets on people he never made contact with.
@JackRainfield
@JackRainfield Ай бұрын
@@mustangecoboosthpp3869 First of all I'm just repeating what has been published in several news articles. I agree that it sounds impossible however your math is off a bit. With 60 minutes in an hour 4 hours equals 240 minutes. 240 minutes divided by 108 tickets comes to one ticket every 2.2 minutes. So it's not 45 seconds but your point is still valid in any case. The articles say Gillis was given a commendation award for his performance so whatever the amount of citations or time line he was a ticket writing monster.
