I love the way de Nizio appears to be manually doing the echo parts with his own vocals rather than by using effects. And he does it so well!

One thing i love about Smithereens. Their studio material always sound so mild mannered and real gentleman like but live performances they KICK it. Typical example is Blood & Roses as well their Seeker cover. RIP Pat de Nizio ❤️

Way way before their time, this is 86’ and while synth wave was huge and bands like Def Leppard and ZZ Top were ruling the charts and hair bands here we have 4 guys who look like they came back to the past from the mid 90s! Boy did they pave the way for 90s or what? Amazing talent!

No one compares to Mike. I lose my mind every time I watch him on this video and it's 2022! He inspired me to play bass in 1986. I have no words- okay- the best bass player in my life time!

My sister and I got to see them in a bar in Louisville Kentucky USA called Phoenix Hill. It had three stage areas . They played in the main bar which meant their stage was about 15 feet or so from the main bar where we camped out. They were amazing and we had a night to remember!!

Mike Mesaros is the quintessential bass player hands down. Just look at him- f'in amazing. No one compares. Inspired me to play bass in 1986. His style is that of true organic rock stars. I just love love love this video. Saw them many times in the 80's and then without Mike :( Going to see them at Carteret in December 2022. Can not wait. They are so controlled and talented. Miss You Pat. Can't wait to see You play in Carteret Mike.
