@@ScootsTrains Well Now you know. Because Big Boys like 4014 were equipped with Stack Hoods to deflect the smoke through tunnels including the Hermosa tunnel! If you ever watch the Vintage Big Boy documentaries like "Last of the Giants" you'll understand what Stack hoods are for. I love seeing Stack hoods in action!

I’ve never had any issues. Just stay clear of the active mainline portion and you’ll probably be fine.
