I’d put the pedigree above, even as a heel finisher. The rock bottom, walls of Jericho… if you’re talking just 2000, I’d put the crippler cross face more over as well. The swanton bomb too. I’d put him top 10 of 2000 over moves. Shame they didn’t reinforce the move as a dominant finisher, which would have worked. Seems they always used the worm as a “signature move” meaning a kick out was almost inevitable. Definitely fit the bill as a finishing move
@OMOMOMOMOM1908 ай бұрын

Scotty had a pretty long career, it's not as well acknowledged because his early years were as a "jobber" but he started all the way back in '91-'93 before The New Generation when the Hogan era was reaching its culmination. Much respect for the decades he put into the business, it blows my mind he started appearing in WWE when Undertaker was still in his first couple years and Shawn Michaels was just starting his Heartbreak Kid persona.

Hearing Scott say they were never close is sad. You would think at their peak they'd be spending much of their time together because of all their success as a tag team and they way they interact with each other during their entrance and in-ring it was like two close friends working in tandem.
@nasirjones91492 жыл бұрын
Knowing that these guys weren’t even close backstage just goes to show you how committed and invested they were to their gimmicks and characters. The fans legit thought that they were best friends. As far as Brian Lawler goes, it sucks how he went out. I always knew that he was on some kind of drugs, it was pretty evident. What people aren’t talking about is the amount of pressure he must’ve been under constantly being reminded that he’s Jerry The King Lawler’s son. Scotty just said that he loved Grandmaster Sexay more than Brian Lawler and I kinda see why. Not being associated with his dad, he was his own man as Grandmaster, he had his own identity. Rest In Peace.

Damn, kinda surprising they weren't close, or even became close. But then again, New Age Outlaws said the same thing - that they weren't friends at all and only became friends over the years. I guess when they realized their entire career is with each other, they might as well have each other's backs elsewhere. I think Too Cool would've arrived at that same point, but it takes two to build a relationship and I think Brian just didn't care anymore to do something mature like this, because he was down on himself. Sad ending to a life.
