FUN FACT: Basically the whole movie was shot in the Czech Republic and you can find Czech actors throughout the whole movie including the France football fan, the hotel waiter and manager in Bratislava, three Wondersexxx girls and one of the male assistants there. Also, Mieke's brother Gunter is played by Petr Jákl who - apart from an actor - is one of the best Czech movie directors of the past years. 😊 EDIT: It's hard to notice at first but the tall Italian man in Vatican with long black hair is the actor who portrayed Igor Karkaroff, the Durmstrang school headmaster in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) releasing just a year after Eurotrip (2004). 😊

This movie has been shot mostly in Czechia, including the "Bratislava" (they used some deserted village in the middle of nowhere), most of the cast as well. Luckily, Matt Damon was shooting another movie in Czechia at the time - so he joined this one for fun. Btw. Notes from 20 years ago. Hasselhoff wasn't actually too random. The Hoff was in Baywatch, which initially crashed and burned in the US. But it was a huge hit in other parts of the world and for some reason, the Germans loved Hoff. He was a huge star over there. He was also a running punchline on Weekend Update while Norm MacDonald was the anchor. This theory was that " Germans Love David Hasselhoff." It's funnier in context. Also, that was Lucy "Xena" Lawless as the Amsterdam club hostess.
@LancerX91611 ай бұрын
The first season of Baywatch failed, but it did well internationally that they decided to do a second season. It then became very popular in the US when it went to syndication. It did not crash and burn, it was just not a prime-time show. Worked better as a Saturday night show on local channels.

Road Trip is probably the best example of that kind of genre of movie. Personally I would say it's a technically better movie than American Pie easily, American Pie just had the bigger "meme" impact. The other part between is OK, but slightly rushed.

As the brother in a brother/sister set of twins the whole making out thing between the twins is both the most hilarious and outright horrifying gag in the entire movie.

Sometime last month I found the movie on the pirate bay's top 100 and had to download it. I tried searching for it years ago but couldn't find any live torrents. I originally had the DVD but constantly moved and one day I realized I didn't have it anymore.

One of the underrated comedies. I wish we still got movies like this these days.

Absinthe...the ingredient is Wormwood...it can be home brewed, or semi distilled using other alcohol and steeping the wormwood in it...but the end product in any case is a drink thats hard to palate...so the traditional approach is not a glass full...but to take cubes of sugar on a perforated spoon and pour the absinthe over it as it falls into a tumbler of ice, melting the sugar as it goes. Much more enjoyable after that. (To get the anise flavor, I recommend using ouzo as a starting point if you steep your own...or add anise to the mix.)

Scotty doesn’t know truly does slap so hard. One of many songs I bought on iTunes back when I was a teenager.

14:38 There's a jukebox at the club I play darts at. One day I was searching for "Du hast" and I noticed a song "du" by David... Hasselhoff!? Yes please! I didn't care it was entirely in german. It wasn't until 7 months later the owner of the club told me personally that I can put on any other song in the world... except for Du by David Hasselhoff. It was so fun. I loved it and so did 5 other people at the club. Everyone else was asking the bar for a needle to stab out their ear drums-- wasn't my problem though.

There are three things i remember most fondly about this movie, the song, the train tunnel scene and Vinnie Jones being the legend that he is.
