EXCELLENT job - Very thorough and easy to understand. I have purchased a Garmin Striker 4 Fish Finder and this Scotty mount impressed me. I just need a narrower slide track to mount it to my Sundolphin dinghy. The one that Scooty makes is too wide (and too expensive). Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting this. I'm looking to add a mount and transducer to my boat soon too
@JSOutdoorsLLC3 жыл бұрын
Like I said in the video its a pretty high quality mount. I have since buried my transducer in the side of the bank with no negative repercussions.

Thanks for the video! Any tips on where to mount it if I only have a paddle to steer? I guess I will hit this arm with my paddle. Thanks!
@JSOutdoorsLLC3 жыл бұрын
I too only use a paddle. I mounted it more forward away from where I sit and operate my paddle. Play around with different mount locations before putting holes in your kayak.

Thanks for this, very clear. I am looking to do something like this on an older Intruder. I notice they present the widest side of the arm to the water (more drag), do you notice any pull to the right when you are using it?
@JSOutdoorsLLC3 жыл бұрын
I don't notice any added resistance on one side. I have so far used it in a lake and river. Both times with no added drag.

@@JSOutdoorsLLC Thanks, puts my mind at ease about it then.

Fantastic, how to. Do they make a attachment for a Hummingbird or Garman fish finder?
@JSOutdoorsLLC3 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with the Hummingbird mounting system. Scotty does have a couple different options for fish finder mounts. Go to the Scotty website, click on the 141 kayak mount, then scroll down to the related items and you should find the comparable mounts listed. Good luck with your search.

@@JSOutdoorsLLC Thanks for the quick response. I mean Garman instead of German, but I will order the one I need.

@@vtxdaryl Sounds good. I love mine. I drifted pretty hard into a bank a couple times and hit with the transducer arm first and its still working fine. Really a great product.

I bought a similar candilever for my fish finder but is not very solid structure... Of course my transducer is heavier than yours but the plastics doesn't make me to fill very confident...
@JSOutdoorsLLC Жыл бұрын
Im not sure how heavy your transducer is but this one works great.

I have an old town pdl and I don’t want to drill in my kayak for the rail “. Will this mount work on my rail?
@JSOutdoorsLLC2 жыл бұрын
Looking at the current model, it appears it should be compatible. I would strongly suggest contacting Old Town to verify.

Not in the way of your PADDLING?

It's forward enough on the kayak so it isn't a conflict.
@rodneywhiting40492 жыл бұрын
I like the product very nice but it looks like the way you got it mounted on your kayak there’s no place to paddle
@JSOutdoorsLLC2 жыл бұрын
I have full range of motion with my paddle. I mounted it just far enough forward so there would be no conflict. I would suggest sitting down in your seat before mounting it to mock it up.
