I actually enjoyed the parts that I actually watched of American Idol....I didnt watch it for weeks...only about 2 or 3 weeks I actually watched it. And I was hoping that either Lauren or Scotty would win. And I'm happy that it came down to them two at the end...I'm happy for both of them getting as far as they did and I'm glad they're both going into country music. That's what they are best at singing. (:

I have never watched -American Idol-This appeared on Vevo to my channel. My hat is off to Scotty McCreery! Now, I say put a country stetson hat on his head. Lets get rid of the suit (I commend him for wearing it - Plus his clean cut appearance!) Lets go with jeans, country shirt of some sorts, maybe a vest in Winter, and boots! I get the feeling I am listening a replay of a younger George Strait when he first broke into the music world many years ago! A controlled but not overwhelmingly powerful voice that can deliver easy rolling heartfelt emotion in 'singing from the pick up truck' kinda comfort. Betcha if he sings 'Amarillo by Morning' type songs he will ride the same very successful and long career of Strait as well! Well done and good luck to you.

Beautiful. NO UPSET THIS YEAR! I voted for Scotty for four hours straight. Last year Crystal deserved the win being the frontrunner all season long with Lee only have a few good night but mainly very weak performances. THIS YEAR SCOTTY WAS THE FRONTRUNNER ALL YEAR LONG AND NEVER IN THE BOTTOM THREE. Lauren was recently in the bottom two. JulietTony10 As much as I love country music (old-school and current), I was not expecting to be a big fan of Scotty that season. I thought he would be too much of a “one-trick pony” and that I’d get bored with him after a few live performances. However, he pleasantly surprised me, and by the top 10 he’d really grown on me, and I became more and more of a fan every week. Not only does he have the authenticity that the AI judges noticed from before the top 24, he puts heart into every performance, and even at 17 he had professionalism and maturity way beyond his years. He’s evolved and only gotten greater since this time, and his singing career seems to be better than ever now!! And yet, he’s remained humble and shown pure class through it all. Funny how so many viewers have suggested that another contestant (perhaps ONE in particular) should have won that season, and that “the real Idol” didn’t make it to the end. Wrong - the Idol was there to the very end, and continues proving why he deserved to win that season. The world needs more gentlemen like Scotty McCreery.
