AMC sold small cars from its beginning, and always had a compact offering. AMC, Studebaker, and VW sales increases forced the big 3 to have compacts, Chrysler led Ford and GM by a few months with their Valiant, while GM tried to “out VW” VW. Eventually the Big 3 went bigger anyway, Studebaker folded, and Japanese/British imports filled the gap. Sure AMC was small but found a niche market with good cars for essentially 30 yrs stand-alone and a short time progressively sharing tech and money with (ugh) Renault. Chrysler bought AMC for Jeep, not auto marketshare. AMC based models crept into Dodge but once the Renault contract was satisfied AMC was eliminated. Now Chrysler is part of the ZEuro conglomerate Stelantis which has a slew of old European makes in the barn. Left in the coral is a few Nordic brands and Renault, which tries to run with Nissan but has been seeking help elsewhere. AMC is gone but true to Chrysler’s habit not forgotten. The latest in that sense is . FCS resurrection of the Hornet name. I say true to Chrysler as the 90s era Concorde name was used in latter 70s. for the Hornet platform. But Hornet was a well known and powerful Hudson in early 50s until Hudson and Nash merged to create AMC. 🤓

Atleast the other ones you can drain the fluid and change it out and keep it lasting longer. If you are going to buy Japanese buy a real Japanese like a Toyota, Honda or Mazda.

Watched a few EVs at Target recharge from big high voltage charger, trying to imagine whole parking lot like that. Recent home improvement copper pipe was $25 for short 2 ft x 1/2 inch. And so we see one of the problems with electric vehicles, cost. The only way to get them down to an affordable price is to subsidize them. From a picture floating around the Inernet, a replacement battery pack is over $25k, which would be the same price as a new one of the Volts. From what I understand the batteries are only good for about 5 years. Then even on the cheap end they aren't a very economical option.

What I normally do is buy old beaters that I can pay cash for. The car I drive now, was an old beater that I paid cash for in 2014. It still runs fine and I haven't made a car payment for most of the last decade. Yeah me!! However when I was married, my wife liked new cars - as many people do - so we got a new car on a regular basis. Back then we didn't have any money so everything was bought on credit. I think if you're buying on credit and trading in your car every few years, then a lease makes a lot of sense. It cuts your payment in half. At the price of new vehicles nowadays, a lease would probably be the only way that most people could get into a new vehicle. It's true that you're not building equity in a vehicle with a lease, but then a vehicle is a bad place to put your money if your goal is to build equity.

There a few things that could cause this ... dirty filter ( air flow ) , clogged vanes in the squirrel cage or the blower motor is not running up to speed , and .. The system is low of charge . Also the TXV is clogged or not working properly . If a Evap coil is iced over , you will not get cold ! I'd guess the drain pan under the coil is not draining. Good luck ..

1. Chevy only had 1 Battery factory supplying battery packs for the Bolt. They could never make more than 50k battery packs per year, so they never planned to make more than 50k Bolts per year. 2. The Bolt was never meant to be anything more than GMs proof of concept for how to make a mass production EV. As evidenced by the battery production constraint. 3. The lessons learned from the Bolt went into the Ultium power train. As soon as that generation was designed, the Bolt was obsolete. 4. GM has 3x 40GWh Ulitum battery factories planned, enough for 1.2M EV battery packs. Which means large enough production runs of the Equinox EV for it to be profitable at $30k. Meanwhile GM has the Bolt on clearance sale at $25k, and taking a loss on each one.
