No one wants a heavy hybrid off road truck, even if it spends 99% of the time on pavement. Also, gas only is less complicated and more reliable in the long run than a hybrid. Toyota and other makers needs to stop dealers from charging over MSRP for vehicles, as 100% mark-up in not uncommon. Ford dealers were charging 50 to 100% mark-up on the Lightening Electric Trucks, while Ford was losing money on each vehicle and complaining the trucks weren't selling. If these new Toyota trucks can't be bought at MSRP or below, I'm not buying one, even though it would be perfect to replace the small SUV I already own.

Hi Scotty. I have a story about ford keys. I was a mechanic in the 80’s and was told to bring in a 1974 ford 500 I think it was. They told me it was green. So I go out to the parking lot, find this car correct colour and year and bring it in. The problem was water pump leaking which I checked and could not find any leak. We could not get ahold of customer and the service writer said go ahead and replace it. I said no so we waited for customer to return. In the meantime I went out to get another car and while walking through a different part of parking lot I noticed another ford 500 with different shade of green. I went back, got same keys, started it up, drove it in and looked at water pump. It was leaking. Both cars were locked and keys fit both doors and ignition. Crazy eh?

I got a 2015 Tiguan a few months ago and the oil light would come on at random. I took it to the dealership three times to get it fixed. They had to drop a refurbished motor in it, and it still had an intermittent oil pressure loss. I gave it back and got on '02 Grand Cherokee in great condition and it runs like it's new.

Back in the 60’s, my grandparents had a 1965 Mustang . One day, my grandpa, had to go to the grocery to get something for my grandma and took their station wagon instead of the Mustang . He comes out of the grocery store and forgets which car he drove and sees a Mustang that was identical to theirs and puts his key in the lock and it opens . He eased into driver’s seat and happens to look in the rear view mirror and sees a baby asleep in the back seat . He very carefully exits the car and prays the whole time that he didn’t have to deal with an angry mother trying to accuse him of kidnapping. Luckily, he found the other car and drove home without any further incident . 😂😂

I probably found 5 different Ford cars or trucks of buddies that I could start with my keys , about always though the door key won't work with the set. Have enjoyed watching your videos for several years now.I too worked in the car industry for self and dealerships mostly in auto body end . just like you seems once a tech you can't get out, kind of like the mob.

My wife's 06 4 Runner is getting long in the tooth. (360K) Still in great shape, neither leaks or burn any oil. Tranny shifts like a new one. Bodywork and interior in great shape other than the roof clear coat is starting to peel a little. I take good care of our stuff. Oil changed every 6K. I love that 4 Liter V6. It runs like a top. But I'm still wondering if it's worth it to buy another new car yet?

At work the other day, I grabbed the keys off the customer service board to a 2018 f350 Ford, to work on it. After I finished what I was doing I left the keys in the ignition because I was going to test drive it later. There was a 2017 f450, that needed some work in the meantime so I go to grab the keys, they're gone, can't find them anywhere we looked high and low in the shop for these damn keys, about half a day, we finally decided to give up and was going to call a locksmith to come make us a new one. Well I get back in the original truck and look at the customer name attached to the tag on the keys and low and behold, it's the keys to the other truck. It started and ran just fine with the wrong key.
