These vlogs of yours Andrew, are as good as they are because you add a human element to your travels. We WANT to know about your migraines, annoyances, as well as things that bring you joy.

I have been loving your videos, watching a couple each day on my lunch breaks. They are giving me wonderful escapes from the dreary! But I felt I must write as I have also had migraines for almost 40 years. I am also prescribed a triptan, and have learned to take them with care, as they lose their effectiveness over time and I have tried almost all of those on the market. I am now also on a medication which I take daily to reduce the frequency and intensity of the migraines. This is something I have not been able to be without and has helped immensely. I still get them, but many less than before. I wish you well, and hope you are able to manage them! And thank you for the wonderful travelogues!!

Thanks Lianne, glad you're enjoying these. On this trip I did indeed learn that triptans are something with which to manage attacks rather than a wonder drug that cures migraine. After going Cold Turkey on this trip (I will never, ever forget the pain I was in at Carradale Bay and again on the Isle of Harris) I now limit triptans to a maximum of two per month, and only if I really need to be doing something else. Fortunately I now only get about one every month, so if it keeps that low hopefully I won't need to go on to permanent medication. All the best.
