Looks like he has the quicks to play LB too. Gonna need to come up with something to help the LB room next year. ...unless King stays. I don't see any reason atall for a round 7 or later pick to leave school now that college is a mini NFL. King would be crazy to face the real world when he can have a blast and get paid at school. What am I missing?

So he’s injured in October 2023. Plays in a blow out game November 2024. Decided not to play that remaining two game and the bowl? Could’ve still played and redshirted. Either’s the ACL is taking a long time to heal, or he fell out of the depth chart. His rotational depth time was going down before the injury. Texas A&M’s coaches beat us in long term recruitment. Did Barnes lobby to bring make him as a portal target after last working with as a defensive high school coach back in 2017? Whatever the timing, this seems like a big reach for what we need. Cue the dang training montage.
