Converting paragliding pod harness into Climb assist - SCOUT Zero pod harness with climb assist

SCOUT Zero is not a paramotor. It is a true paragliding pod harness that can be flown with or without climb assist.
It allows the pilots to take off in flat land and use to engine to climb to the nearest thermal. No more waking up at 6am to travel to the mountains hoping for flyable weather. Wonderful but it should be fully electric. I insist Scout needs the best tip over proof nano trike, the future of sport aviation is 1) Electric. 2) Paired with a safe bullet proof nano trike. Your passion and knowledge is very inspiring Miro.

Greetings Dear Miro, firstly, thank you for innovating and creating awesome products regularly, I was wondering if its possible to get it with a regular paramotor harness, I love your cage and it looks very lite, in paragliding there is a lightweight version of everything yet somehow we do not have truly lightweight paramotors at all. I hope you will consider installing a regular harness and selling Scout Zero as a lightweight paramotor, I am confident it would have huge popularity.

Very interesting product! Few thoughts: 1. Is it worth having these lamels on cage? Motor is just for climbing to thermals. After switching motor off it is useless and inducing drag. 2. It's not very easy to fill the fuel tank... 3. Many times motor will be started midair after loosing thermal or altitute. Poor little Atom 80, it will get full throttle right after starting when still cold after thermaling for long time. 4. Many paraglider (not paramotor) pilots will buy it, hoping to learn to fly it themselfes as it is not a paramotor, it is a climb assist. This might be dangerous. There are definitelly some things to learn before starting flying with the motor on your back.

1. Yes. There us Bo other means of torque compensation during take off. True, they induce dive drag:-( 2. True. we already made the zipper opening larger on next batch. 3. True, a minute or two at mid power would help. This will mostly be used over flat lands, thus much lower altitude than take offs in the Alps. 4. This is why our tutorial video is not a full manual for take offs just named the differences. We believe a paramotor instructor is needed.
