SCP 049 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Plague Doctor.
SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor.
SCP049 will become hostile with individuals it sees as being affected by the Pestilence, often having to be restrained should it encounter such. If left unchecked, SCP-049 will generally attempt to kill any such individual.

I.......I....Ok, so this channel is essentially my only SCP info. Love the videos, love the voice, love the absolute weirdness and jokes, and the fact it uploads so often................but WTF WAS THIS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I was just in a state of shock as I stared at my screen, a 'wtf' kind-of-shock. Not once did it ever cross my mind I would see the plague doctor lay an egg and care for it like a good mama. Wait, maybe the pestilence is death. By turning his patience into Zombies, they aren't really able to die efficiently. So the pestilence could just mean death. And SCP-049 calls it a disease and he obviously doesn't have it because he is still alive.

I'm surprised that they didn't have anyone try to candle the egg to make notes of the development of plague doctors. Also, this means the plague doctor has a cloaca and it is possible that he is either asexual or the spermatozoa of his species's sperm can survive long periods of suspended animation, or that the egg's development is slowed due to embyonic diapause. With the birthing of the egg, he is either actually a biological female of his species or maybe the male stores the egg internally (similar to a seahorse). There's a lot of research needed on Plague doctors's reproduction...
