While i find it incredibly awesome that you're having a look into the scp universe, i do recommend taking a look at The Volgun, scp Illustrated, and The Exploring Series. To my knowledge, they give way more details and depth into each scp they cover, while youtube creators like The Rubber seem to skip out on much.

As most people comment, SCP universe is related to a very specific way to tell the data, that's why most prefer SCP Illustrated, The Exploring Series or The Volgun (i prefer this last one as some video include voice dramatization of interviews) but credit where credit is due, The Rubber and other more cartoonish media sometimes brings more people than a very monotone-told story for this ambient where most can't stand 7 seconds without something interesting happening at the start, sadly as some add, some data is missed or avoided just to get to the most interesting parts of the SCP. Also SCP content creators are dying in some way, don't know if it's because of the violent and traumatic lore (altough there's some very wholesome ones) that doesn't get recommended by the algorithm, so these channels doesn't get enough revenue or the views that deserves for this piece of fictional fan-made literature and let me tell you some of them are incredibly good to be casually made and read for free on the internet.

Hey, cool video. But I think you should avoid supporting this specific content creator. They rarely link back to the wiki, and they often make extremely blatant mistakes when adapting articles. For example, the rubber often ignores clinical tone. SCP illustrated would maybe be a better choice. They make visually interesting SCP content, maintain clinical tone, and they are highly involved in he community.

There actually is a story on the Wiki about the guy who unfortunately had to test the “Drawing it” theory. He was put basically in a box at the bottom of an extremely deep pool, a long way away from 096. He was given images captured from a drone, told to describe it, then told to draw it to the best of his ability. Meanwhile, 096 was sprinting towards him. Soon after finishing his drawings, he was told to burn the originals, and to just wait. A few minutes later, he obviously was ripped apart. He was a D Class tattoo artist, by the way

To be fair, when “The Rubber” mentions SCP 682, he does mean literally immortal, as in so far, no matter what the foundation tries to use to kill 682, nothing works. Not only is it clinically immortal, it mutates and changes to keep itself alive, even to the point of reconstituting itself from a collection of cells.

Speaking of uncanny valley, something someone pointed out that I think about a lot whenever I hear about it... If we have this instinctual fear of things that fall into that category? Then at some point in our evolutionary history, we had a reason to be afraid of something that looked like us, but wasn't us. Kinda freaky to think about. Wondering what could have possibly put that instinct into us.

The Rubber is a good introduction to the concept of SCPs but has some odd habits that can irk some people. For me it feels like the script is written by someone for whom English is a second language, then narrated without correction by someone better able to speak it. I still watch them occasionally, but it’s something that pulls me out of the story every time I notice it.

10:40 Nope. 682 is literally immortal in every sense. No matter what foundation does to it, they can't kill it. Which is a problem considering 682's hate for humankind and it's attempts to kill humans whenever it gets a chance to do so. It is in fact so dangerous and hard to contain, it's one of the very few anomalies the foundation actually wants to destroy, instead of locking away. If I'm wrong about something, someone please correct me.

It’s like they actively tried to make 096 as unremarkable and mundane as possible. I would instead recommend theVolgun if you want to explore more into the SCP universe. Keep in mind though that his videos do not have any visuals, as the primary experience is in the reading. It won’t be something to watch as much as it is something to listen to. When talking about SCP-682, theres a reason why hes called the unkillable lizard. All methods, to this date, were exhausted in termination of SCP-682. There was 05 chatter about taking him to SCP-001 Gate guardian but that was scrubbed due to the lack of safe transportation. SCP-682 can sustain damage to the point 68% or 86%, forgot the numbers, of his body would be damaged and he'd begin the regeneration process. 682 can also adapt to situations as well. Now if you want a more creepier SCP to look at. I suggest SCP-610.

So there is actualy a story about the person that made a painting of SCP-096: a D-class personnel (D for disposable, for obvious reasons) was provided a photo of the entity while he was in a submarine on the opposite side to the globe in relation to 096's current location. He drew a portrait of the creature as he was instructed, then put the portrait in a case that was shot up to the surface for retrieval. As for the D-class, not even being at the bottom of the ocean saved him.

The Rubber usually tells a really big summary of SCP's but a summary so big that the SCP's end up not looking as scary or intimidating as they actually are, example, the death by viewing a photo that he mentioned was a death triggered from a man that was looking at photos he took some years ago and focused on a pixel in the background that pixel of course being 096 triggering 096 to break his cell and run directly towards the man who lived km from 096's containement site, this is also a summary of the event of course, I would recomment SCP illustrated more than the Rubber unlike the Rubber SCP illustrated doesn't skip through interesting information so people without attention span don't click off edit: Also the Volgun makes really good SCP videos

If you do watch more SCP videos please check out TheVolgun, SCP illustrated, or Eastside SCP instead of videos like this. The tone of these videos don't work with them as well.

There is SCP Illustrated that makes these kind of videos, it's more longer but goes more in depth, also made a video on 096 you can check him out if you want.
