Anantashesha is one of the best SCPs. Existential terror always makes the best terror in my eyes, because few things are more terrifying than what’s simply the truth. Also, it has one of the strongest combos of abilities out of any SCPs. Besides it’s huge size and effective immortality (doesn’t age and nothing’s strong enough to kill it) it’s both antimemetic (can delete parts of your mind) and memetic (can change parts of your mind). This creates the ability to remove every piece of you and replace it with fear and a realization of how small you are. The urge to end this tiny existence. To swim into its jaws. It would be so easy. So simple. You could have nice and quiet. Sleep. Leave the darkness. Enter oblivion. Don’t realize it. Float in the vastness. Stop feeling the eyes. Stop everything. Be nothing. You already are.

@SeventyTinyWyverns2 жыл бұрын
You would be thinking of SCP-722.
@twitch1366612 жыл бұрын
There's no evidence that the vikings ever believed in a flat earth. Most people in the Viking Age would have experienced the world as a network of routes, and there's nothing to really show that they ever imagined what these routes would look like from space. Many of them, being seafarers, had the opportunity to make the observation that the earth is curved, but with the vast expanses of the North Atlantic on one hand and the endless Asian steppe on the other, they had little reason to think about where the world ended. Some point out that the myth about the Midgard serpent that surrounded the world, would indicate they thought the earth was round. But this should be more properly thought of as a homestead in a larger world rather than a self-contained planet. The myths that do survive similarly suggest that Viking Age conceived of these homelands scattered across a cosmography unified by a tree but had no interest in where this tree's world ended. Nothing indicates that they were afraid of falling off a world edge. The Eddas themselves only show that Midgard was made of the corpse of Ymir the primordial giant.

One can argue what lurks in deep waters of the oceans on Earth. Maybe something more terrifying than SCP 3000.

The name of this scp is derived from Indian mythology. just check for Sheshnag also known as AnantShesha. Its a giant cobra with thousand heads serving as bed to Lord Vishnu.
