I'm pretty sure -2 is solely a perfect reflection of the current instructor/s as it can perfectly copy any of their abilities for only as long as that instructor is testing (ex. Only had magic when a thaumaturgist was instructing, only had clones when there were multiple instructors, etc)

My solution for 5733 (aside from not playing the tape in the first place)? Get her to accept her death The way I see it the Slasher wants to give you the same feeling of helplessness as Heather in her final moments by allowing you to communicate. If both Heather and the viewer accept that she's going to die, that would almost certainly confuse the Slasher as it would deny him his apparent purpose

Question since Heather can obviously see you and whoever is watching IS the killer. What would happen if we were to go through that idea with randomly selected orders for Heather again but instead of picking up the instructions and reading them aloud you turn them over to the screen without reading them, so Heather can read them. Since the killer knows everything the viewer knows if the viewer has no idea whats going to happen, the killer shouldn't know either right?

I could be wrong, but my impression is that Heather will only do things that the viewer directly and intentionally tells her to do. She will therefore not obey any commands that said viewer is not themself aware of. I believe this because she always asks the viewer for help before trying anything and we saw that if the viewer gives her no command then she completely gives up and lets herself be killed. She also hasn't shown the ability to read.

I have a few questions about this particular SCP. 1.) At what point does Part I of the film become anomalous? Would it be possible to interact with other characters earlier in the film, or just Heather? 2.) What if someone were able to convince Heather (or all the characters) that they were in a movie? 3.) If the same person watched this movie over more than once, would Heather and the Killer be able to remember them? Would Heather be able to remember her past experiences/deaths?

1) After Heather gets trapped in the Basement, before then you can not interact with her. 2) Heather will only listen to advice about how to escape, if it's not at least tangentially related to that in some manner she will just ignore you. 3) No, but the killer is just a copy of the person watching the tape (anomalous/occult abilities that the viewer has are also retained by the copy) so it's likely that it would know about things that the original is aware of.

I used to be scared of horror movies when I was younger. But as an adult I'm aware it's just a movie, and that the characters are just actors. But if this SCP genuinely existed I would be disturbed and refuse to watch. Because the very fact that I can interact with the characters mean that they are in some way sapient, and at least to me, real enough that I would be disturbed about the characters death.

Here's how I would beat 5733. If the slasher is simply just hearing what the researchers are saying, then they can use a kind of cryptography similar to how modern computers communicate. All heather would have to do is do some math in her heard, and the foundation researches can generate a secure key they can use to "send" encrypted messages to heather. If the slasher is gaining knowledge by some sort of physic link with the researches than this whole thing doesn't work. Worth a shot tho

Ok, I have two ideas for 5733. 1- Play the tape on an old tube tv with an NES system running Duck Hunt in the background. Once the movie becomes anomalous, use the light gun to shoot the slasher. 2- if the Slasher knows everything the viewer knows, make the viewer believe something beneficial to be true. For example, tell the viewer that in each instance, the slasher dies, whether it suffers a heart attack, is killed by Heather, trips and falls face first onto his knife, or is gunned down by police, before he can kill Heather, and instruct the viewer to give Heather the advice “it doesn’t matter what you do, the Slasher’s just gonna die before he gets you.” If the slasher knows what the viewer knows, but has intent differing from the viewer, the slasher might change their objective to their own self preservation and start to avoid Heather, or the viewer’s belief might become true and the slasher will actually die.

Idea: if it’s just that the killer is whoever’s watching, then have a short person who only has skills applicable to fighting shorter people watch and show her how to fight a shorter person. She has the advantage in 2 ways: the slasher would be shorter than Heather, and wouldn’t have skills geared towards fighting taller people, and Heather would have the proper knowledge to fight a shorter person, which in this case the slasher is, giving Heather a double advantage, and she could hopefully win

I believe what happens is when you watch it, the last person to watch it is retroactively erased, or maybe becomes the victim of an unexplained murder, and the tape maybe details it (?) I’ll check the actual SCP.

The entry on the website says, "When watched, the film causes the observer to become a conduit for the localised destabilisation of reality. Only one viewing of the film, ordered by research lead Dr. Carpenter, has been conducted and documented (See test details below). However, it is currently hypothesised that testing may have occurred more times than currently thought." At the end of the test logs (Jaime's story as detailed in the video), it says that said logs were a transcript of the tape's contents. So my understanding is that when you watch the film, you get transported into the tape/an alternate reality where you're in (the filming of) a horror movie, which then becomes the film on the tape, and your existence is wiped from the real world. Sorry for the wall of text lol but I hope this helps.

One other thing. The bit at the end of the test logs also says that the current D-Class who watched the film is in protective custody. So apparently you don't just get sucked into the tape immediately after watching it, or the D-Class would've been gone already. Maybe it happens gradually, or there's another part of the process. Like the Suburb Slasher has to cross over into the real world and physically take you there or something.

I think the only way to beat the Slasher in the first tape is to make Heather kill him with the advice of 2 or more persons, which makes more slashers appear in the movie, but all of them is just the master of one advice, like in the melee combat people coaching Heather beat one slasher because she had the advice of 2 melee combatants and probably could beat the other if she wasn't tired after the fight. Maybe an expert at thaumaturgy and an expert at melee fighter could make her beat the melee fighter with spells and the thaumaturgy expert with melee. It seems no tricks like getting a shotgun could work as the killer is the one giving her advice, so maybe different killers giving different advice could be the key to defeating him

L Lawliet was called to look at the tape. He then spent the next 24 hours rewatching the tape over and over trying to outsmart the killer. It got to the point that the Foundation begged him to stop for his own physical and mental health.
