its just for plot development. in the real world, any sort of missing persons report that is made immediately after the person going missing, is imperative to ever finding the person. after the first 2 hours of the person missing, the chance of ever finding them drops exponentially, and only continues to do so as time goes on. in real life, an immediate search team would be assembled and police would look into security cameras for any signs of foul play as well as satellite coverage and helicopters. kidnapping is no joke.

Cops never take anything seriously. Hilariously enough, the first 72 hours are EXTREMELY important both in emergency situations, AND disappearances... and cops feel it's necessary to wait a MINIMUM for 48 hours before a person is considered "missing."

ngl that writing at the end with Doc Bob just giving his thoughts was very well written, lots of good characterization in it, which I think you should do more of considering the only info we have about him is that he has fancy socks and somehow survives everything you can throw at him. Just like your stories of SCP victims at the beginning, you're very good at giving things a humanized perspective, and having Bobby-Boy give an extra segment at the end serves the same purpose

It wasn't a humanized perspective. It was a carefully agenda driven narrative. Start with the normal couple, introduce the queers as a parallel. Parade their photos side by side to drive home the normalization. Don't think you can hide this shit in plain sight.

This SCP does sound really bad to run in to. It's like once the victim goes to it, the only thing left of the victim is the ghost of a feeling of someone you cherish. Either lover or best friend or whatever. This is something like a different kind of ghost in a emotional or feeling kind of way. Cool to hear more SCPs that are in the 7000s series. And two new explanation videos within two days. Fantastic job here. Keep up the great work on covering more SCPs in this format. Weather we heard or not heard much of certain SCPs. And also take your time working on them.

It's more or less an extremely long SCP themed fiction/scientific explanation for ghosts. Again. The more crap words they toss in your direction given precedence only by other scifi media (mostly SCP scifi), the more validity it radiates due to "having heard of that thing before". And when they tie it to a specific and "documented" psychological phenomenon, the world is their plaything. Because now you're connecting fiction to fiction, trying to explain away a phenomenon that only exists because someone says it does and someone else documented it as being a thing. Psychological study is by and far the worst type of "science" on, or off, the planet. Also, I'm not a fan of queer normalization through fictional invasion. And this one doesn't even try to be subtle about it.

Tangential PSA that you should always report missing persons as soon as you suspect something wrong, even if it's only a few minutes. Time is the most critical element to locating missing people, the sooner you start looking the better the odds. If the police dismiss your claim, you can ask them to put their dismisall in writing (i forget what the specific term is). Which they probably won't do and just start an investigation anyway - if something does turn out to be wrong and you have your receipt, it can be a bigger headache for the police than searching for someone who isn't actually missing.
