Great video, but I have to be "that person". If the creature can only exist while the scroll is open then it's not Keter because containment is easy to establish, simply keep the scroll closed. It's practically safe at that point. Classification is based on difficulty to contain, not danger to the world.
@qinjikofoxx55806 ай бұрын
A fair point to make, but here's my counterpoint; If the anomaly is classified Keter, then that probably means that closing the scroll my be easy, but keeping it closed may not be. When dealing with these things it's best to assume anything is possible and that the worst may very well happen. For all we know the scroll could simply open itself back up. It could have an effect that deteriorates or destroys anything meant to keep it closed. Fact is, we just don't have enough information.
@doctor_glowup6 ай бұрын
You would this so, but it depends on if it has any memetic properties, or anything that draw people to try & steal jt all the time…I’m just now stating this so I have no clue what we’re talking about about, but I agree. I thought it was based on difficulty to contain and study, but who knows. I guess it’s up to artist’s interpretation.
@maverickrahming5316 ай бұрын
@nancyjo517 respectable but that anomaly is either classified as safe or Euclid, 076 is far worse, and is classified as Euclid.
@CaffeineWarlock6 ай бұрын
Pretty sure it would be Euclid or safe depending on how the scroll works and what the bundle is. Using the box analogy, if the scroll being open is the only thing, it’s safe. If the scroll has some sort of unknown mechanic that’s causes it to open, it’s Euclid. If the scroll does not have a likely way of being closed or affects reality in a way that closing is impossible, then we start getting into keter territory but we still have more questions to ask. I wouldn’t rule it out though, that scene where it zooms out on the guy in a room showing lots of copies of the room implies some reality bending that could put it in keter. Loved the show, thanks OP.

Love the stop-motion for the monster. It may seem a bit goofy, but it has an undeniable charm. And while the acting was noticeably... well, not that great at times, and the CGI helicopters where an example of why you use it only where you have no better options, when you put those flaws together, it's more of an art-style rather than just independent people with a relatively low budget making a movie together. It's absolutely a good watch. Would love to see more. Also love the idea of turning the inspector literally faceless(as they metaphorically are, since no one remembers them), when shown from the perspective of the MTF-Officer. It looks really creepy, while shot in such a way, that you could convince yourself that his face is really just hidden in the shadows. Afterall, in some shots only showing him, he does have a face. But no one remembers.

Compared to how detail in military atmosphere, this one felt like yeah whatever he closed his eyes his dead. I guess the team leader has the wrong job. The foundarion has to act the way it does, or else everything will fall appart. The real tragedy is when he realises that everyone could have lifed, if the furry of the squad had just rolled up the scroll sooner. And by the way a little critic that bothers me a bit. The titel doesent make that much sense, since it seams to be pretty easy to put that scroll in a box and lock in up in some secure warehouse. The classificstion of an anomaly is not based on its effect, rather on the difficulty of containment. But i get that the titel SCP:SAFE wouldn be as clickable and it was a fun watch.
@TheMightyCookieShowАй бұрын
You kinda just touched on the the needle I'm trying to thread with that character. The theme for that character, which will carry through the other 2 films if we get to do them is a story of somebody who's faith in their purpose is heavily compromised. to the point he will be forced to deal with the feelings of failure and lose, and a haunting and creeping doubt. Verlice will have to figure out a way to believe again or it'll be his end. So yea, verlice is presented in this film the way he is on purpose and with purpose to start him on that journey.

A great piece! May I offer some feedback: The helicopter animation and the police-scene really raise the production value. The location is also well chosen and you guys obviosly know your stuff. The MTF comes across as realistic and professional, from gear to acting. I've done an SCP film before and I can see how much effort went into this one. Doesn't feel amature. I especially enjoyed the talk at the beginning, about popular creepy-pasta. Good way to break the 4th wall. The creature comes across a bit like a traditional animatronic. A bit laggy, but it works as its own thing. So does the Interdimensional void. Also, great work on the scroll there. The idea of entangling anomalies is not new to the SCP universe, but hasn't been worked with in films so far. At least none that I know of. Good take at it! Now, what I'd criticize is the somewhat claustrophobic use of your camera. While it adds to the scenery - and while you have good lighting - it gets confusing at times, and I lost orientation of who is where, up to a point where it threw me of the story a bit. Apart from that, there was a pretty long time when things start to get weired, but most of the MTFs just stand around and try to call each other. I feel like that was way too long and I wondered why they didn't move earlier. I'd think there are protocols for such a situation. Last but not least, the end felt a tad bit forced. The debate on the Foundation's view and attitude is valdid. Also nice to see how the interviewer adjusts his speech. But it didn't really come across as natural, and more as scripted. Oh and since I am German myself, that accent was really thick. I'd think many of us don't actually speak English like that XD

@@DarkestElement thank you for giving it a look see. His performance though is more on me than him. I tend to go for as close to, not acting, with my actors as I can.
