Okay, here's an update on the story: The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service ruled that Duskin violated fair competition laws and officially stated that Duskin had no part in the creation of SCP, rights to trademark it were never transferred to him nor were they ever intended to be. However, they abstained from dissolving his trademark as Russia is still a first-to-file country, but an intellectual property lawsuit has been filed against Duskin and the committee's rulings make a victory much more likely. In addition, Duskin's former publisher, KOMILFO, independently ceased printing his artbooks even though two years remained on their contract. KOMILFO is not responsible for Duskin's actions in trying to trademark the SCP Foundation.

NOVEMBER 23, 2020 Hello everyone, apologies for the delay in posting an update after the violation details were made public on the tenth, but the results were more complex than anticipated and some aspects were not revealed to us until today. The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service has ruled that Duksin violated Fair Competition laws by using the trademark against Russian social media groups and content creators. One content creator in particular was deemed to be owed unspecified monetary damages from the losses Duksin's actions caused them. In addition, the committee has officially stated the following: 1. The SCP Foundation name and logo were created by parties other than Duksin. 2. Duksin did not commission their creation. 3. The parties which created the SCP Foundation name and logo did not transfer their rights to Duksin nor did they ever intend to do so. 4. The actions taken by Duksin may be an act of unfair competition in and of themselves, and could lead to an illegitimate monopoly due to using said trademark towards wares, works, and services not protected by said trademark. The committee chose not to rule on whether or not the registration of the trademark was legal, as Russia is a first-to-file country meaning the barrier for their particular jurisdiction to overturn the mark is very high. It was our hope that FAS would decide to do so, as it would have been significantly faster than an intellectual property lawsuit, but the ruling is still a victory as it has established multiple pieces of evidence we will use in a copyright infringement lawsuit we have been preparing against Duksin. This will not be a quick process sadly, with Covid, language barriers, multiple national legal jurisdictions, and the peculiarities of the case all slowing things down. That being said, the SCP Foundation Wiki, SCP-RU, and our legal representation are all committed to seeing the case through. With the facts and rulings we've established via the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the support of our legal counsel and the creators of the SCP Intellectual Property, and the blatant disregard Duksin has shown to IP law we will win the lawsuit. As always, thank you to everyone who made this possible, and we hope you are staying safe.

I just clicked on this video thinking mark was playing another SCP game, then when he explained what was happening, I did some more research and I was completely appalled. The fact that Andrey Duksin is trying to steal all these authors work is disgusting. I've been making my own private SCP's for a while and trying to make a private fan book as well (don't worry it's not one of those fan fics), and I cannot stress how much time and effort it takes to make them, I'm glad to see that everyone wants to help out and protect this amazing community. I was introduced to the SCP foundation not that long ago and I fell in love with it immediately, it's helped me write more, taught me to be more personal with my characters, and has given me the boost I need to keep writing for years to come, it's basically helped me grow as an author. And I think all artists and writers in this community can say the same thing about the SCP foundation.

SCP Foundation is probably the best collaborative creative writing community on the internet. Almost every article is an amazing original concept. It grew out organically from anonymous contributions at first, and even coined new words like "antimeme" and "cognitohazard." It's basically a unique genre, using technical jargon to underscore horror, combining the lovecraftian with the kafkaesque. It must be protected.

Yeah, he is an old timer. As far as I can remember there have been a lot of "not funny didn't laugh" entries that have flooded the later series for some reason. Probably a byproduct of the struggle for site power from a few years ago between different social media sites.

I remember watching a video about some of the scp creatures a few years ago, and I found it again! (not the video) I don't really know a lot about it yet but the more I know, the more I like it. It was a video that told of these scps: shy guy (I now know this scps name). That fricken scary statue that breaks your neck if you break eye contact with it, an alien headed scp that makes you forget you talked to it after you stop talking to it, there was a table that had.. these basically piles of meat sitting at it (if you make physical contact with it you turn into meat) and, these.. drones? I don't really remember that one. :v I really hope you guys win this, though I am months late :
