Yeah the delivery guy didn't give me anything like that. I just hit up the Triumph dealer I purchased it from along with the video. So thank you so much for your content 🙏

Thanks for the video. I went with a different company for my tail tidy out of the UK called power bronze. Bought lots of accessories from India for my speed. 400 be careful if you order the crash bars from anyone in India. They assume you are replacing the factory crash bars and they do not include some of the bolts and bushings. Still waiting to hear back from vendor to see if I'm going to get my bolts. Also, you can find a universal fit license plate light at TST industries. Thanks again. Have fun riding.

My 400X came with the two key barrels for accessories. I ordered the Triumph top box. When I tried to install one of the key tumblers in the top box it did not fit. I took it my Triumph dealer and they were surprised to learn that the key tumblers that came with the bike don't fit the Triumph top box. They checked with Triumph USA as well. Anyway, the tumbler that will fit the Triumph top box is apparently provided with the top box quick release plate. The point of having the key tumblers that come with the bike is to have one key for the top box & side bag, It looks like a second key will be needed for the top box. Not sure what they were thinking including two properly keyed, useless key tumblers with the bike....

Love it. Found out my TEC tail tidy wasn't great for off road riding. Lets just say my fat butt compressed the rear to the point that it caught the tidy and bent it completely forward and severed my right side tail light wire. I should've bent it more upward away from the wheel, but I was worried it would be hard to read by the police and get me a ticket. I bought a second tidy that's made by a fella in Maryville that mounts the plate and light in front of the back tire like you see on sport bikes. I didn't have another place to mount my signal pods so I've shelved that one for now.

I’m a new rider and just bought a 400 x. I’m trying to install my Zana crash guard which came with tons of adapters and no directions on how to install. I’m hoping you ordered their crash guards as well. If so if you could post a video on how to install, it would be greatly appreciated. This video will help with the tail tidy I’m waiting on from them.

Love that. You could stick a led above that plate. Super glue it.

Hey, thanks for the videos! I am enjoying them. I brought my 400X Scrambler home today. It is a green one too. Have you found a reasonably priced side stand foot pad extender? I am also considering a rear rack but I may just toss a tail bag on for short rides.

Are you loosing a bit of oil from de rear shock gas tank? Mine it does…..
@stevensuddens69125 ай бұрын
You didn't need to fit a rear reflector in place of the OEM one that gets removed? In the UK the rear reflector is a mandatory requirement so adds some complexity to fitting a tail tidy. I've not seen one yet that includes a position for one.

I live in the USA, in TN. No one here cares about reflectors.

So with all those other bikes… Why did you choose the Scrambler? I have 3 and am seriously considering buying one myself!
@RidgeRoamer7 ай бұрын
It is fun! At under 400 pounds, it is just easy and so fun in the curves. I've had it 95mph, so highway speeds are no problem. 40hp is enough to give you very respectable accelleration, but I can still push it hard and not be in "go to jail" speeds by third gear. The features and quality of the bike is impossible to beat for the money. it gets nearly 80mpg, so it's cheap to run. And insurance cost is nearly nothing. Don't over think it, just go buy one!

You may or may not already know this, but if you don’t want to use Goo gone, which I find leaves an oily residue just use Naphtha. ( zippo fluid)

First job I did on my scrambler was to pull those hideous stickers off the tank too. 😂 I had to warm them slightly with a hairdryer as it’s still too cold here to get them off without. I’m still undecided about a tail tidy. Not seen one I like yet, particularly as here in the UK a number plate light is mandatory. Have you done any riding in the dark yet? If so, how do you find the headlight? I have to say that I’m distinctly underwhelmed with mine. Plenty of light, but not where you want it.

I think it’s look nicer with a tail tidy where you attach license plate light

Not when 10x more dirt flies all over , it's a fender not just a plate holder , call it a fender eliminator like it is .

Can you fit a helmet in that tail bag? Is it lockable with a small lock?

Have you figured out what the Torx size is for that rear grab bar below the tail bag?
@RidgeRoamer6 ай бұрын
No, I haven't taken off the grab bar for any reason

@@RidgeRoamerI got my own scrambler and I’ve been trying to get my rear rack on myself but I don’t have a lot of tools but nothing really seems to fit, T40 works but it’s really lose and seems like it wants to strip
@m8c976405 ай бұрын
@@cameronkunkel2137 I just installed the rear rack and also found the screws to be very very tight. The T40 worked and did not strip. When I put the new bolts on with the rack I also found them to be nearly impossible to screw in all the way towards the end. I backed the screws out a bit and sprayed some WD-40 on each one and it made a big difference and I was able to get everything tightened up just fine. I don't see the benefit of the longer rack screws and would just use the original ones for the rack which were a bit shorter if I was to do it again. Maybe the longer ones are needed if you have both the tail rack and and the side pannier rack which connects with the same screws.

Huh!? I did NOT receive a fancy little packet with the purchase of my new triumph scrambler 400x.

You should have. All bikes are shipped with them (at least in the US)

NOW ALL THE DIRT WILL BE ON YOUR BACK
@RidgeRoamer7 ай бұрын
OH NO! I MIGHT GET DIRTY ON A SCRAMBLER??? But really, no. The plate still covers the rear tire, so dirt can go up, but not forward.
