Your video is straight to the point, no wasting time talking about nonsense. Thank you for that. A great tutorial. So many utubers waste so much time talking about themselves Etc. Time gets wasted. Getting right to the point and sewing keeps us interested. Thank you

What a breath of fresh you are. Too many contributors forget that they are talking to real people, and lose their message. Thanx for having a “terrible” chair. We have all had one, and if not, we soon will. Just all of the quirky things that speak to your audience. Make more stuff. You’re great. 👍❤️

I pin and I press...always have. Now that I'm retired, sewing fast is really not important. Fun tutorial and I love the scrappy jars. This is going on my list "to do" as a table runner for my kitchen island. Scrappy binding sounds perfect. Thanks for sharing the measurements for this. Really cute!

Thank you! I also pin and press - I’m guessing it comes from a very long time ago (1979) when I first found quilting and everything was done by hand! That scares most people today!

I really like your pattern for scraps! You did a great job on your first video ☺️! Congratulations! You might want to include the measurements of the different pieces in the drop-down portion of the video for future reference. Take care!

This is a phenomenally cute project!. A perfect scrap project that does not make one's eye's go all googly! I appreciate this inspiration, and I will definitely make this. For those of you who feel the same, you can create your own list on youtube (I have a private "stuff to try") and save to that list. And I see you are using one of my favorite rulers: CG folded corner clipper! A time saving tip (from my personal sweat shop): To sew your sashing (lattice) to cut strip width from WOF and sew the jar blocks (leaving enough room to trim). I think that I saw Jenny Doan (Missouri star) do this three years ago, and it has been a go to production method for me)

I've made a lot of jar blocks, but never thought of using scraps to make them, what a great idea. I have seen a lot of videos where they snowball the corners, and you are the first person, besides my self that I've seen cut the corners before sewing them, I have done them with the line, or pressing the line, but find cutting them first is more accurate. Because of your video I now have a use for the mountain of scraps I have. Thank You for Sharing your Time, and your Talent with all of us.

Loved your first video and look forward to many more. It was a great technique to have the cornerstones actually be part of the block instead of sewing a sashing row and trying to force everything to match up. Learning I could do it that way was huge for me!

Oh my gosh!!! A wonderful first tutorial!! I'm hooked and subscribing!! I absolutely love the scrap jars and wrote the directions down while I was watching. It would be great if you would've attached the written pattern but I think I got it down okay!! I can't wait to start this project and use up some of my scraps so I don't have to figure out how to store and sort them!! Wish you'd've checked the camera angle before shooting the whole thing. It would have been helpful to have it directed more at your cutting mat. But overall fantastic job!! Can't wait to start this super fun project. I think I will use this quilt to hang on my craft studio wall!!! Thanks for sharing and I hope you found my comments helpful and not judgmental. I meant them as helpful!! Happy quilting!!

Some add the measurements in the Description box, some have them show on the screen. Either way, I can take a Screenshot of the measurements & directions more easily that just hearing them. I am a visual, tactile & audio learner . Thanks for producing your first VLOG on the quilting topic. I look forward to more!!!

I enjoyed this tutorial and are happy you decided to share it on YT. I’m thinking this would be a great quilt to use up some of the fabric scraps/off cuts from each quilt I’m making. It would be a great way to show and remember the fabrics I used in each quilt I make. I was going to make the scrappy houses like Kimberly from FQS did, but I like the thought of the mason jar shape better. I might even add a small white strip in the middle of each jar as a label so I can write down what quilt pattern that jar represents and who I gave it to (if it was gifted). I’m looking forward to watching any future videos you post and are very happy YT recommended this video to me. Hello from Ararat in rural Victoria, Australia. I think I’m subscriber #313. Cheers, Lisa 😀👋🇦🇺

Great idea. Made me think of an autograph quilt where the person who made the block autographed it on a muslin? strip and I beljeve the name was embroidered...careful what type of marker you use. Those you gifted to could sign their jar.
