I am watching this video in July 2023 and having such a good time! I’ve always wanted to make an I Spy quilt the “usual” way and have forgotten about Jenny making jars! Love going back and watching or rewatching videos from times past😄😄😄😄😄

From Iris Dove. I love this quilt! I do a lot of canning. My son inherited my love and satisfaction of canning, so for Christmas I made him a pint jar quilt using the farmers market charms. I backed it with fabric with peppers since he grows a lot of peppers. He loved it and it was a big hit on Facebook. It was my first quilt .

Iris Dove that is so clever. I'm sure my sister and daughter would love one of those also

If you flip the square upside down and use bright batiks it would look like Japanese Lanterns.

Oh my gosh...I can totally see doing this pattern for those of us who can. You could do peaches, apples, tomatoes, green beans, jalapenos, etc. Tons of fruits and veggies. How fun would that be!

Jenny, another wonderful video! I can't believe I just now ran across this video after watching one of your other amazing videos because it is PERFECT timing! I have been collecting fruit, veg, candy & bread fabrics for about five years to make my brother and SIL a pantry quilt to hang in their kitchen. I may have to order those layer cakes just in case I don't have enough. I can't wait to tackle this project now!

I remember playing the I Spy game along with the Alphabet game :-) Here's another example of looking at a quilt and thinking "it's complicated"...then you made the jar lid strip and it was such an "OH MY GOSH!!" moment! I've had so many of those moments watching your tutorials, thank you so very much for your clear instructions and the love you have for the craft! So many quilts to make ;-o

I have made two of these quilts took me longer looking for the fabric to use than it did to make both. I had some fabric that had lizards on it and to use it I made it look like a gallon jar laying on the side and took the place of two jars on a row. It turned out great. My grandson loved it and the other one I made for my sister-in-law to play I SPY with her first grandchild

look at the icons under the picture /video, click on the one that looks like a cog or flower. it should change quality. click on that then on a higher number that what the dot is next to. or click auto. that should fix it.
