I love the humor of the contrast between all the effort that went into using no nails on the bottom of the table and the $h!+ ton of nails used for the top! 😂

Uncle, I always watch your hands while working and one thing strikes in my mind, the wedding ring in your finger is so tight that elaborate that you love aunt y a lot. You are made for each other. This is my love for you both. Regards.

I must confess I'm most amazed at the table top. It's simple, but it's beautiful. Almost everyone on YT either uses a whole piece of wood or use colored resin to fill the gaps, sure it's pretty, but it became quite average. I have no idea where you get your inspiration from, but things you create always bring a feeling of goodness, uniqueness, beautiful and creative things.

Did you see the one where he used a old door for the top??? That video is astonishing, as well. Not just the design creativity, but the ingenuity, as well. Then again, you can say that about all his videos. I’ve asked him before, but I’d love to know his story and how he became this incredibly proficient, and endlessly inspired. Best channel on KZbin as far as I’m concerned.

Ok 2 things I love about your channel...ok there are more than 2 but here are the top 2...1 I don't need anybody to teach me how to use my tools...but I love new ideas on what to create with my offcuts...and 2 I love that you use old and new tools...when I took carpentry in high school......a long long time ago...they made us use all the hand tools before any machines..eg making dovetail joints so to see all the hand tools from my past and... that I still have is awesome...Keep up the great work!!! One thing I do need to get is a ...as I call it a baby square :o)

My late domestic partner installed hardware in a cabinet shop for close to twenty years, and would often bring home the cabinet grade scrap wood and drawer boxes. He would have loved this channel and might’ve been inspired by your work. Your attention to detail and careful measurements remind me of him. Thank you for sharing your process with your fans. I think my favorite part is the tabletop that looks inspired by a log cabin quilt pattern.

Epic UpCycling There’s no hope about it, mate. I always do. I’m choosing to think of 2020 not as the year of the c-word (not the usual one!) but the year I found your channel. I came across late Jan early Feb, I think. How serendipitous?! As for this video specifically, loved it. Where on Earth do you get all your scrap? The gnarly scrap used here is awesome, almost like a zebra. Loved the tusk tenons, it’s exactly what I would’ve done along with those beefy legs. I wouldn’t have done the top as you did, not in a million years. I’d have probably gone for a chunky top, with significantly rounded corners but no chamfering. You’re never predictable, that’s for sure. The pattern looks great (couldn’t stop thinking it’d make a great headboard too, don’t you think?) and the nails around the edges look awesome. A laborious, tedious task but well worth it in the end. I might have added some metal caps on each of the corners but I wouldn’t have thought to do it this way in the first place, ha. Kudos again, another fantastic project.
@EpicUpCycling4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comments, Sam. Those 4x4s I used for the legs were just laying in someones garden. They were heading for the bonfire until I managed to save them :) Great idea for the head board. The metal corners suggestion is a good one as well. It would certainly have worked well on this piece.
