atla is an animated masterpiece. also seeing katara on tv as a young brown girl was indescribably inspiring and healing. she was the only character i had at the time that i could actually relate myself to and aspire to be like.

Love the stash busting idea! Thank you for sharing! Maybe adding a purple lace border to the bottom of the granny square sweater could soften it and add some dimension to the bottom.

I'm making a granny square sweater right now (it's a bit of a frankenstein project, I'm also knitting some parts) and I was worried if I slip stitched my squares together it would be too bulky. I went with mattress stitch instead, which is super easy and just pulls the edges of the squares together, so no extra bulk. Definitely recommend that approach!
@lindasakseide2826 ай бұрын
The granny square sweater is beautiful... AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. I really like it with the black border. I was thinking in the beginning that the green and the orange colors would look really nice together, but I don´t think any of your squares was those colors. Well, - I really like what you make 🙂

Love your projects!!! I’m currently working on a scrappy granny square vest cardigan. Just finished the granny hexagon cardigan using Premier maze color!!! Making several crochet summer tops. Goal for this summer…designing and making my first crochet dress…depending on how it comes out…will likely make a second one…having so much fun with the creative designing process!!! Thank you so much for your inspiration and having a just do it attitude. Having a go for it attitude allows you to make mistakes and hopefully learn from them…what can go wrong…just take it out and try again!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤

With regards to weaving in ends, just wanted to share that I use either a straight blunt sewing needle, or a metal tapestry needle with a slight curve at the tip- depending on the project and/or yarn, I will alternate between either of those! I've never used a plastic tapestry needle (and honestly have no desire to try one) but I've had nothing but success with either the straight blunt sewing needles or the metal tapestry needles with the slightly curved edges! I actually LIKE weaving in ends amd find it satisfying, which would probably classify me as a "weirdo" lol, but I am a very happy weirdo! 😁

I love your granny square sweater. Much classier than the other two. The third unfortunately is just too big for you. Maybe a smaller hook would have been a better option? Definitely crocheting a small square to check sizing would have been advantageous. I liked number two also. The random blocks of colour are great. Personally I would have preferred you carried on with colour blocks to the sleeves. Pity you only had enough of the red/orange to complete one sleeve. It would have really worked if both sleeves were the same colour. I feel I am being critical? Not so. Lovely work and ideas. Very impressed throughout. Just highlighting my thoughts if I were to do the three items. You are a 💫. Xx

It's definitely hard to sit through large projects but if you ever do get to making any of them, know you can take as much time as you'd like on them -- even if it's just working on one row a day ! That way you aren't forcing yourself to work on the projects when you don't feel like it or if you're unable to concentrate on working on it for a longer period of time. :)

Do you block your pieces before stitching them together? It will make the finished garment look and fit very well.
@kellinxx10036 ай бұрын
14:34 that’s because you’re pulling the first colour’s thread too tight when you switch, but you’re only doing it on either your knit rows or purl row. Probably your knit rows bc most people knit tighter than they purl.

The best way to take breaks from crafting, especially when you still want to be busy: 1.) Read books (or at least read 2 books) before each project 2.) Clean a room and decorate it. 3.) Start going on 30-minute walks 4.) Learn a new skill (ex. Cake decorating, photoshop, or archery, etc.) I hope that helps you on your crafting breaks.
