Have you tried crazy quilting? What is your favorite method?

Wow Kristen, this is a really cool way of doing crazy quilting! I really like this. I haven't done a crazy quilt yet but it is on my bucket list. I've only seen where the pieces were sewn on kind of like foundation piecing. Then after it's done, they would go back and hand embroider on the top. with different embroider stitches and add embellishments like lace, buttons or other things. (Hope I explained that well enough) I think I'm going to use your way when I get to doing my crazy quilt. It looks easier. Yours turned out beautiful. Thank you for sharing your process!

The back is amazing!!! As a quilt, this would be often used as the deliberate top. ))) Big crumbs stuffed as you go. Great concept. Major recycle event ))) Brilliant. This is why I subscribe. I love the way your brain works. Quilting SHOULD be play. Some of us need permission. THANKS

Kristin I swear no matter how you just “throw things together” and let things “grow on their own” the end product turns out gorgeous!! I also get so tickled if you make a video and don’t complain about the lighting once it’s later in the evening. I wouldn’t even notice it if you didn’t say something about it. 🤣🤣 I still owe you an email to do some serious catch up. Continue to love your videos and blogs. Much love love!! XX Laura💙🪡🧵

Like you I’m not a huge crazy quilt fan, but yours actually came out with a bit of a modern vibe. Pretty cool, but still not sure I want to tackle this one. The review of the quilt as you go method sank in though and I think I might try it with long strips to assemble a bigger quilt. I also want to try inserting the batting after sewing the seam.

I just found your channel. I’m for SC. I love crazy quilting. It’s mindless and addictive. I made all six of my grandchildren, one several years back. I’m anxious to try your technique. Happy quilting. Oh, just wanted to know where you’re from.

The fat seam of the tartan piece can be sewn over with a different decorative stitch. )) The fold on the back of the leaf print piece can be sewn from the back... to make two lines of stitch on the front. Its a crazy quilt. It can have more than one seam per piece. There are not quilt police if you don't let them.

Just the regular quilting needle that was in my machine from the project before! Sorry I’m not a needle expert by any means 😂
