Might have been a good idea to angle the 30 minute turrets in a bit towards the center so they would actually be able to shoot at one spot with both sides (ofc if you want to be really fancy have a long range detectors (not sure how long you can actually detect anything) and have the turret angle according to distance, but then 30 minutes might not be enough at that point I geuss :P

@@TheCustomFHD I think that sensors wouldn't quite cut it, wouldn't they? But still its an idea worthwhile to explore with controller swivelled bearings. And those like set to a very small angle of only 1-2°. Thats doable with 4 bearings and 2 controllers, maybe with an sensor to stop the Guns if they are to be swivelled to much outward.

@@Luziferne I just wrote that cus i dont see a way to make it work. Sensors wont suffice, so how to detect far away stuff? Logic and a piston moving towards the target to probe its distance?

@@TheCustomFHD Basically, you can't. Not only because of the reach, but also because sensors only give an on/off type signal, not a range. So to sense AND tell a distance, one would have to place 20 Sensor, set to a fixed range, one for each, and then combine them with logics to sort of get a range. At least in Vanilla SM. Some Mods do have differently working sensors, both with different range and funktions. iE something like 00Fants Mod, that one has unique sensor for farming, Laserpointer with much higher range of detection, a targeting UnitFacer sensor and many many more QoL ones

nice builds. I think the 30-minute build had a minor flaw that gave you that recoil rise: at the speed they were turning, they had rotated 90 degrees by the time they fired. a fix would be to put the white marker at the 6 o'clock position so the guns fire as they pass the seat

2:36 the reason is because of bearing lock, its part of the code to keep it at the last position it was set, I had creations fly away because one of the bearings was spawn part of the creation the wrong way

hmm... speed builds could be a fun challenge idea for multiplayer with kAN and Moonboob... to make it a bit harder you start with a empty inventory, pull a random thing you need to build from a hat or something, then you get... say, 1-2 minutes? to build it, under the floor is explosives that explode 1-2 second(s) after the time runs out, so you have to finnish and get your thing out of there before that or you lose with nothing to show for it. you can also add various specific modifiers, like "it must be symetrical" or "it can not be symetrical" and "there must be certain amount of blocks of certain type and or color" and you could ban certain things to, like no concrete or no plastic, no slopes, etc. think it could be real interesting. oh, and 21:53, anyone else think those pipes kinda look like Beetlejuice arms?

I hadn't considered how the Electric engines can be used to become a mechanism for a Turret's turning. that works great! It makes me wonder about using a sensor setup too, just for how to use the WASD steering style.

Multiplayer Monday suggestion: competitive speed builds. Two thoughts on how it could work: 15 min build time as normal, but you each have to build creations for multiple tasks (unable to use one more than once). Or three rounds, similar to this and evolution/devolution, whereby it is the same task, but you start with one end of the spectrum, and work to the other, perhaps 1 min, 5 min and 15 min. Each build has to be from scratch of course.

Could've spent the extra time adding a couple more bearings so you could "zero in" the aim of the left and right. Perhaps use controllers to move them at 10 or 15 degree increments? It wouldn't need to be too precise, just enough so they're both hitting the same medium sized target.

You should have put the Gatlin guns, from the 30 min. build, closer to each other and under the seat not separated and to the sides. If they (the guns) were closer to each other the accuracy would've been astounding

Idea for multiplayer Monday: 15 mins to build a turret 15 for a box fort and the limit is 500 cardboard and 200 cardboard boxes and the limit for the mountable spud gun is 30
