Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Day 9: You should try a space dogfight in Trailmakers, basically use mods for zero gravity, and make a space fighter with no blocks from the wing section(to simulate lack of atmosphere). The only method of control would be thrusters. Nighttime is optional, and set a power core and block limit. I believe that it could be fun and challenging.

Idea: 2v2 Air vs Ground game except every round the teams swap their vehicles. You then have 3 minutes to upgrade or downgrade the vehicle but you have to use it that round before swapping again.

Idea: Swappable Tanks. Every player builds a top and lower part of a tank. Then each player spin the wheel twice per round to see what lower (seat+track/wheels) and upper (turret/weapon) parts you get. Edit; I would reccomend getting a faster way of randomizing the parts, but the wheel of fortune will do the job. As per limitations, you can set block and power limitation in 2 ways: - Limit for each part, so all are quite equilibrated. - Total limit, so the builder has to either do 50/50 or do a stronger and weaker part. I think this could lead to some really fun either overpowered or underpowered tanks. Or something crazy like a massive gun with a small tank or viceversa.

JB should have had these side shields on top that would have been smarter. Remember that video when you made a bayblade bomber? How about in your next challenge is bayblade battle, BUT with weapons.

Day 10003 (because apparently people think that will help get their suggestion get used), 2v2 50/50 controls. So, using any vehicle, maybe land based might be easier, each team mate controls half of the vehicle controls and half of the weapon controls. So, two weapons of the same of different type, manual aiming, team mate 1 controls the vehicle gas pedal, the weapons rotation and one of the weapons firing. Team mate 2 controls vehicle steering, weapon pitch and the other weapons firing. Even funnier, would be to do this twice. 50/50 controls on the land vehicle AND 50/50 controls on an airship, where each team mate also controls half of the balloons.

Suggestion : ship vs tank. - the goal is for the battleship to survive long enough - the battleship should have 3 to 4 times the number of blocks of the tank - tank can repair but not the battleship - prefered weapons should be explosive ones - If multiplayer, there should be 2 tanks for 1 battleship (2 crew for 4 players), OR 1 tank vs 1 battleship (2 crews for 3 players)

Okay, I like the thinking but the problem is that the ship can just sail out of range. My solution? Ship vs HOVERtank. All the goodness of a tank, but with hover pads!

So for kicks, let's grab the old non auto-aim weapons for a bit. Battleship gets 3 turrets with triple heavy cannons each. TONS of firepower. Tanks get a single heavy cannon on their turret, but with a coaxual light cannon to act like a machine gun with tracer rounds to help dial in shots.

Another idea: do a reverse of this. Have two cars trying to take down an airship. Maybe use an altitude sensor to give the airship a max height.

As I've already commented on Yzuei's video, I'd love to see these 2v2 different-vehicle challenges done with both vehicles active on both teams at the same time. Winner determined by total number of takeouts.

IDEA - One Predator VS Three Prey! A Giant melee tank with a strong plow that hunts all the prey. Predator needs to be faster but not as agile when it comes to turning (like a fast tank vs slow jeeps). If Predator kills all Prey before 5 or 10 minute timer ends they get a point. If any of the Prey are alive after the 5 or 10 minute timer ends they get the point. Could have four games of this giving each person the chance to be the predator. You all build your own Predator vehicle and Prey vehicle.

Should do a heavily armored airship against two small cars and have it follow a similar route to the speeder as though its a armored coach and the small craft are trying to stop and rob it.

Idea: air vehicle vs ground vehicle, but instead of having unlimited repairs for the aircraft and just going until the car is destroyed, have a dogfight with both vehicles trying to destroy each other. They each get 1 repair and the first to be destroyed wins. It’s balanced by the aircraft (probably a plane) having stronger maneuverability and control making it harder to hit, but also not being able to lose as many pieces since it has to keep itself in the air.

Idea: Vehicle battle. Just build anything that will hopefully get you the win. Let's see Howmush destruction we can see when you're only limited to your imagination (and the 700 block limit). Maybe build a plane with 5 of every weapon? Maybe build a truck with 20 miniguns on the back. Or maybe build a submarine that can fly so you can hide under the water. I think it's will be fun too see what everyone comes up with.

You could do a 2 vs 2, but the team builds half the vehicle each. For example: ScrapMan building the first part and JB finished building the second part.

How about speedboat versus submarines that jump out of water trying to hit with bombs they release from under the body. No ramming allowed - otherwise speedboat gets a free reset.

I commented this on another video, but I thought about it in more detail. AC130 style gunship vs tank. Whoever survives in the tank the longest wins. The gunship is piloted by one person, has a minimum altitude where the guns won't fire below it, and the weapons are controlled as individual turrets by the players not driving either vehicle. Both vehicles should be limited speed, since the altitude of the gunship is probably going to be outside of auto-aim range, though I admit I don't know how to balance that.

You should do a challenge where the *car driver builds the bomber plane* that the other side will be using to destroy the car, and the *bomber will be building the car* that you will use to destroy the bomber. Of course with some rules like "no self destructing" or "weird controls" so its actually possible.

Day 1: you should do an (almost) no restrictions, ground versus air vehicle challenge. I think it would be super interesting to have nothing holding y’all back except a small gun limit so you aren’t absolutely shredding your opponent

A 2 V 2 land train vs strange vehicles that are not like normal vehicle designs like in mad max. The land train can have multiple cars and each one has a different weapon that the gunner can switch too so only one weapon is active at a time. Each weapon can will have two of the same weapons on it that can either be fired together or separately it doesn't matter.

Transformer fight, each player builds a transformer and dukes it out in a land/air/sea battle! the vehicle must shift into any three fully functional and battle-ready vehicles, each of the three capable of traveling through one of the three mediums.

Scrapman has said before that he won't use those without making it clear to everyone that he will and how to build it (basically, allowing the other team to use it too) I'd like to see their reaction to hit scan bomb-bay as much as you, but it wouldn't be fair.

Oh,@@bbittercoffee , good point. Then he could simply give them some block dimensions for the device, telling them that there will be a secret mechanism there, to mess up their aim, and that they should build a heavy build in order to not be flung around by the mechanism, then reveal the secret mechanism to be the piston-timing burst-fire bomb and cannon mechanisms for different rounds, instead of the mechanism to mess up their aim. A bit of a plot-twist, but I think it would be worth it.
