I think this consept could be more interesting with other types of races because in drag racing, it's pretty much clear from the get-go what the results are going to look like. Some more all around races don't have a clear best type of design and it could lead to some interesting results!

This was really fun! Suggestion: All of you build your first car, and then you race. Points are awarded to the winner, and then you all swap cars so that none of you have your own car. Then you modify the car you currently have, and race again. Points are awarded, swap cars again, modify, race, and repeat. Build time is always limited to 1 - 2 minutes, and the winner is the first to reach a set amount of points.

You could pick three different race tracks (like pavement, offroad, and one with jumps) and do the evolution thing. Build a car, race on all three tracks and whichever design gets the most points moves on. Also, points would work like this: 1st gets 2 points, 2nd gets 1 point, 3rd gets 0 points.

The slims will give you the fastest speed if they are unpowered and you're not planning on steering. The physics behind it is less contact with the ground means less friction so more speed. Even further than that would be to camber skis on their edge. It doesn't make any IRL sense to essentially "skate" on asphalt, but that's what happens when you do that and you have really no control. I've made jet powered sleds like that for the centrifuge with just a slim wheel at the back for the requirement of a wheel being on the course. It's not the fastest thing in the game, but it's pretty wild.

Okay idea. Do the evolution race again but with boats. Now thing is, it takes a bit of time. So you only get 3 minutes then add a minute or two (your choice, depending on how complex the change is) and make an edit. As mentioned with the choice of time , if you stop building and leave the build mode. You can't edit till everyone is done, (unless a change hasn't been made)
