You cannot imagine how many partially finished scrap blocks I have! I LOVE scrap blocks/scrap quilts. As the years have progressed, I finally figured out why I never finished the scrap blocks! I was missing a key ingredient - - one fabric that would be consistent through the entire quilt. You cannot imagine how you have inspired me to keep working at it, with simple direct patterns that always manage to surprise and delight because of your ingenuity. I have been making hotpads finally. I have needed new ones for quite a while now. Glad to be able to throw the old ones out because of the holes and burn marks! Beth, I wish you a joyous, prosperous and very happy New Year filled with blessings from above! That looks like a project you could start building, and keep building, until you use up most of your scraps. Then see how many quilts, table toppers, place mats, bags, etc. you can make out of the blocks. Great way to use up a lot of scraps.

Happy New Year. Blessings. Love your tutorials. This one is particularly good. I think with scraps and crumbs pressing is a key. So many seams. Wish my machine had a thread cutter as this type of block takes so much thread making the whole block at a time instead of chaining
