Delilah, I never comment but just wanted to say I truly love your heart and the peek into your beautiful life you grant us to gain inspiration for our own lives. I’ve been tuning in since you just had Eloise, and I have my first daughter Hadassah. I now also have 4 children (all girls lol) that were born right around the same time as yours so it’s been neat to see you document your experience as I would go through mine. We also just named our 4th daughter (15 months now, born 8/26), D’vorah Eloise. We name each of our girls with a middle name from a grandma and the last grandma we needed to use is named Lois. When I realized Eloise had Lois in it I immediately knew it was the name for her and after years of hearing you talk about your lovely daughter i knew it was perfect. I pray much shalom and simcha (joy) for you and your family ❤

You have the mill so you can grind popcorn (white or yellow) to make cornmeal and ground a bit coarser to make grits. I won't buy it from the store anymore because to me fresh ground is a whole new level.

Hey, I can't tell You how much I love Your channel. A true refreshment for the soul. I remember You saying in a video that Your mother and grandmother are Your goal. Well... You are my goal. I want to be as wise and calm as You! ❤

It was lovely to see the children again Delilah! I understand why you don’t show them, it’s just nice to see their faces every once in awhile. We were pregnant at the same time (you with Eloise) I think I found you at your second ever video. Telling Zach the news I think? Anyway I lost my twins so it’s nice to see Eloise since my kids would be the same age. Anyway, thank you for the videos ❤

If you could share, how do your kids sleep? We have two very poor sleepers. And I feel I can’t get anything done with this prolonged period of sleep deprivation. What time do you go to sleep? Do the older kids wake you up? I need tips on children’s sleep

I just feel like when there no sleep, nothing helps . Coffe, self-discipline, routine, it’s all futile when a person can’t sleep enough

We’ve got one really poor sleeper. Enough vitamin D, and protein have helped us a bit. And then remember that as parents part of our job is to care for the whole family, and we are included in that 🙂 I had to draw a boundary with my toddler and say that now is the time for mom to sleep so that I can safely care for you the next day. I was so sleep deprived at one point that I could not drive, my hair was falling out, I was forgetting about the oven being on, it was dangerous. I let my little one cry it out, I slept, and we started to do better the next day. Now he doesn’t cry at night, he is SO MUCH HAPPIER! And we both get more sleep.

We have a terrible sleeper. We didn't sleep until we started doing what his body asked for, which meant getting up around 5am and going to sleep around 630. We had So much push back on the super early bedtime but working with his body worked better than working against it. We also use melatonin and he has a very specific bedtime routine that we do not change or push back or alter in any way. It seems excessive to other people but we decided sleep and peace were our top priorities for our family and its fine if that looks weird or seems excessive to other people. He gets dinner at 530 - 545 and then a lavender bubble bath, a lavender bedtime spray in his pajamas, bed time book, snd bedtime snuggles around 640 and we sneak out after he's asleep. He's 5 now. A lot of people think he's thinking old for all that, but 5 is still so young in the grand scheme of things. We'll adjust as we need to. Right now this has worked for 2 years and we finally get sleep.
