I like how they stayed true to the story and had cotton think it was a female seeing as the last and only ghostface he’s encountered was mrs.loomis ..I can’t remember if he was there for mickeys last scare but I’m sure the writers had that in mind…and the the use of the voice changer during the stabbing was super creepy and how I would imagine a brutal ghostface would use this particular voice changer.. should’ve been utilized in (2022) ..wish this opening would’ve been kept in the movie with a a slight dialogue change.

Honestly, the way they used the voice changer here is amazingly unsettling. If this is how it was introduced to us and was utilized the whole movie, I would've hated it a little less. If they reworked some of the scenes here (maybe ghostface's line towards the end), this would've been amazing. Also the alternate opening scene with the Christine trivia in the car would've been nice. Wish they didn't cut it out of the original.

I love how they used more of "What If?" by Creed in the original opening. It just felt weird that it would be blaring on the radio as soon as Christine gets out of the shower. Cotton doesn't seem like the type of person to blare the stereo as he enters the house.

There was other actress that almost got the role of Christine Hamilton in Scream 3 such as Charisma Carpenter, Shannen Doherty, Kate Winslet as well as others who were considered such as Alyssa Milano, Keri Russell and Denise Richards shortly before Dimension Films settled for Kelly Rutherford. Shannen almost played Christine but couldn’t due to commitments with Charmed, Alicia Silverstone was offered the role of Christine Hamilton as well as Sarah Darling and Angelina Tyler but she turned them down. Kate Hudson was cast in Scream 3 but was replaced soon after filming began but Scream 3 was mentioned on the VHS and DVD cover of her film Desert Blue so I’m assuming Kate Hudson was cast as Christine Hamilton or Sarah Darling.

This opening was far different from the opening that was actually shown in the movie. Only difference is that in this version the killer uses a voice changer to pose as Christine to tell Cotton that she’s at Starbucks down the street and when Cotton opens the closet and Christine’s dead body falls out of it shortly before Cotton is killed. In this version the dead body of Christine Hamilton is played by a stand in I’m assuming they had to look for an actress when they refilmed the opening and they ended up giving the role to Kelly Rutherford.

This version was filmed but can be later included in the DVD and Blu Ray release of Scream 3. The killer used a voice changer to trick Cotton into believing that Christine Hamilton was at Starbucks and when he checked inside the house and opened the closet Christine’s dead body flails out of there. In the alternate opening a stand in was used for the corpse of Christine Hamilton I’m assuming they were looking for an actress to play Christine when they re filmed the opening.

Scream 3 would have been more interesting had they kept Angelina Tyler as the second killer, mainly due to the fact that she was meant to be an old classmate of Sidney Prescott by the name of Angie Crick and her motive behind the killings was that she wanted the fame and attention that Sidney received shortly after her mother Maureen Prescott was murdered as well as Sidney surviving the murders at Woodsboro and Windsor College.
